Committees

David Bulla serves on the Technology Committe in the Greenlee School. He also is adviser to the ISU Society of Professional Journalists chapter and serves on the Online Committee for the American Journalism Historians Association.

Bulla worked on the Curriculum Committee in the Journalism Department while he was a doctoral student at the University of Florida.

The North Carolina native is closely associated with scholastic journalism. He was the vice president for newspapers for the North Carolina Scholastic Media Association in 1999 and is a member of AEJMC's Scholastic Journalism Division. In 2002, he had the top paper in AEJMC SJD. He continues to teach high school students each summer at the High School Journalism Institute at Indiana University and gives workshops to the Iowa High School Press Association in Iowa City and Des Moines, as well as the Iowa Newspaper Association. Bulla has served as a judge for the Florida Scholastic Press Association and the Newspaper Association of America.

Bulla will become chair of the research committe for the Scholastic Journalism Division of AEJMC in 2006.
