Professional honors, grants

2005 -- Quill and Scroll grant, to complete comparative study of high school media advisers fostering free press atmosphere in Iowa and Indiana. Iowa has a protective law, and Indiana does not. The study looks at how successful advisers are in creating an atmosphere of press freedom in each state. Study co-investigators are Calvin Hall of Appalachian State, Adam Maksl of Ball State and Joe Owens of Iowa State.
