So what is QSL ?

The QSL is a postcard that the amateur radios operator exchange with each other when they want to maintain the memory of a contact they have made via radio.
Thes cards are also used for the Jamboree On The Air (JOTA).

But what about the Jamboree on Internet (JOTI), well the proposal is to make a virtual QSL that we can exchange during the JOTI.
an image in GIF or JPEG format containing:

Below you can see an example:

What must you do, then ?

  1. If you have a scanner, you can make your drawing on paper and scan it. Otherwise you can create the images with your computer using a graphic program like Paint Shop Pro (Paint Shop Pro can be found at this site http://www.jasc.com/psp.html).
The Max dimension should be 300 x 300 pixels. Any bigger and the file will be too big.

  2. Add to your drawing the logo of JOTI and any other information you think usefull.

  3. Save your QSL in JPEG or GIF format (256 colours max). It must be smaller than 50 Kbytes.

  4. If you have a web space or a ftp site, put your QSL on the internet and during the JOTI give your QSL's URL to people that you will meet. Otherwise you can ask them their e-mail address and send the QSL later as file attach.

  5. If you put your QSL on line, please complete the form that you can find below. When JOTI ends we will put on line a page with the links to all QSLs.

  6. During JOTI collect as many QSLs you can. Have fun.
