No news on the job yet. I guess they're waiting on the hardcopy versions of the paperwork. I'll post as soon as I know something.

So today has been dedicated to cleaning and removing some clutter. We moved back in April, but we have yet to completely unpack. Of course that's because we have yet to finish painting. Thing is, I'm itching to start decorating, so I figure I'd best just knuckle under and get some work done (yet here I am typing away...).

Jason and I are beginning a "get healthy" program. We've joined a gym, we're modifying our eating habits, and we're going to make every effort to stick to it. Every time we've tried in the past, we've given into temptation. I have no willpower, to be honest. But, we're going to change all that. The eating healthy part shouldn't be difficult other than fighting the munchies. We've picked up a very nasty habit of eating out more often in a week than we actually cook. I guess cooking for ourselves would actually entail grocery shopping. Do you get the picture of how very lazy we are?

Pardon me while I take a puppy break...

Zachy, our Keeshound, just came and put his head in my lap as if to say, "Mama, will you pet me, please?" He's a real cutie, even though he's terribly naughty. He's also terribly friendly, which wouldn't be so bad except he's very strong and is easily excitable. We tried training him, but it didn't take. He has the idea that we can give him a command, but he'll only do what we want him to if he FEELS like it. He knows what we're saying, but if he doesn't wanna, he won't. He's lucky he's got the fuzzy cute thing going on, or Jason would've strung him up by now. Like now, for instance... he's standing in the back hallway that leads downstairs and he's barking his little puppy head off because he wants to go see our neighbors (who have 3 dogs). Not exactly the way to get what he wants, but punishment doesn't faze him.

Speaking of the dogs downstairs... they have a little girl pug-terrier mix who is a real cutie. Zachy likes her, too, apparently. Every time he sees her he, ahem, mounts her. Not that he knows what he's doing-- he was neutered 2 days after turning 6 months. In fact, his aim isn't all that great. He's gotten her on the side and on the head, as well as in the traditional position. We've been referring to him as the puppy rapist. At least Stella has started to fight back. She growls and snaps at him when he gets fresh.

Anyway, I'd best get back to work. I wanted to put a good dent into things before Jason gets home.
