Who are we?
This is a popular question that we are
always glad to answer. We are a group of Native American individuals from
southwestern Pennsylvania who formed a non-profit organization for the
purpose of educating the general public about the Eastern Woodlands Native
American Culture and Spirituality.
Our primary goal is to present a more accurate picture of Native culture,
especially that of Lenapé. The village is active throughout
Pennsylvania in various activities and concerns. All of our members devote
a significant amount of time to the study of our ancestral ways and culture,
and manufacturing traditional handcrafts for use and display.
The Lightening Valley Village
is recognized by the state of Pennsylvania as a non-profit organization.
We work very hard to ensure all those who are willing to come forward and
listen are not disappointed with their experience, and we hope that you
can come and join in on the fun and education. Click on the Lightning Valley
Village link to see pictures of our members.
