WHO IS COMING ?

Question # 6

Zechariah 14:1, "Look! There is a day coming, belonging to Jehovah,…" Vs.3, And Jehovah will certainly go forth…" Vs.4, "And his feet will actually stand in that day…" Vs.5, "…And Jehovah my GOD will certainly come, all the Holy Ones being with Him." Ask, would you agree that these verses are a prophecy of the Battle of Armageddon? Would you also agree that according to these verses it is Jehovah who will come at this time? Both answers should be yes. Then turn to Matthew 24:27, "…So the presence of the Son of Man will be." Vs.30, "…And they will see the son of Man coming on the clouds…" Mark 13:26, And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with power and great glory." Acts 1:11, …This Jesus who was received up from you into the sky will come thus in the same manner as you have beheld Him going into the sky." You can use these verses or go directly to 1 Thessalonians 3:13, …at the presence of our Lord Jesus with all His Holy Ones." At this verse ask them to look back at Zecheriah 14:5.

Now go to 1 Thessalonians 4:14, "…Those who have fallen asleep [in death] through Jesus, GOD will bring with Him." Ask, according to this verse GOD is bringing those with Him, but 3:13 states that Jesus is bringing them, how do you explain this? Who is coming, Jehovah or Jesus? Then look at 4:16, "Because the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven…" One question at this verse might be; How can He be coming from heaven if He has been on earth since 1914? Go to 2 Thessalonians 2:1, "However, brothers, respecting the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to Him…" Ask, wouldn’t you agree that this verse is speaking of 1 Thessalonians 4:16? Next go to Revelation 1:7-8, Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, and those who pierced Him…" 8. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, says Jehovah GOD, the one who is and who was and who is coming, the Almighty." Ask, in verse 7 who is coming? In verse 8 who is coming? Look at Rev. 22:20, "…Yes; I am coming quickly. Amen! Come, Lord Jesus," It is clear in this verse who is the one coming.
