CAN JESUS RECEIVE GOD’S GLORY ?
Question # 7
John 5:23, "In order that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He that does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him." Ask, do you believe that Jesus should receive all the same recognition or entitlements that Jehovah does? Go to Isaiah 42:8, "I am Jehovah, that is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory, neither my praise to graven images." And Isaiah 48:11, "…And to no one else shall I give my own glory." Ask, according to these two verses "No One" can share Jehovah’s glory, correct? Go to John 17:5, "So now you, Father, Glorify me alongside yourself with the glory that I had alongside you before the world was." Ask, how do you compare this with the verses in Isaiah? It appears that there is a contradiction about Jehovah sharing His glory? Go to Revelation 4:11, "You are worthy, Jehovah, even our GOD, to receive the glory and the honor and the power…" Now look at 5:12, "…The lamb that was slaughtered is worthy to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing." Ask, doesn’t Jesus receive the exact same acclamations that Jehovah does?
