Silky oak, Hakea chordophylla

The silky oak, Hakea chordophylla (family Proteaceae), is a small tree or shrub with very hanging pendulous leaves. The creamy-yellow flowers occur in a pendulous spike. This tree has a nut-like woody fruit which is visible in the accompanying image.
