Human beings are a part of nature, they are do not have dominion over nature. It's true that humans are the most intelligent of all the living things of Earth, but on the other hand, the sense of intuition is for the largest part vanished from humanity. Communication between animals, for example, functions largely on an intuitive level, in a manner comparable to the telepathic transmission of thoughts and feelings. This kind of comunication has atrophied among humans. Only a few humans, often women, have a trace of this ancient ability.
We want to learn again to join ourselves to the cycles of nature and to the Gods, not to stand above them. Only in this way can we solve the urgent environmental problems of today. Our Heathen nature-religion helps us in this regard.
In the Heathen tradition, a person is incarnated many times upon this Earth (reincarnation
belief), and develops further through these incarnations. When the stage of development is
completed, one proceeds to a higher level. Because we all have both body and spirit, we stand
between the Earth-Goddess and the Sky-God, and are subject to both principles. To the same
extent that we concern ourselves with spiritual things, we are also permitted to joy in the
material/physical aspects of the world. There is no such thing as original sin, the Gods accept us
as we are, as they created us. The freedom of the individual is limited only where other living
beings' development is impacted by one's actions.
