It is really too bad dat mine satellite dish (ein C-Band) ist right now on der fritz. It gives many very gut programs on der satellites, even if you are ein cheapskate like me and do not subscribe to der pay-TV channels. Und one from der best satellite TV channels ist der Deutsche Welle TV--- der TV from Germany. Ja, ja, many people vant der Deutsche Welle TV to show more from der movies und Game-Shows und naked Sexy-Girls*, und not so much from der politik und der News. But still it gives much gut to vatch on der Deutsche Welle TV, und anyvay it don't cost notting, not like der HBO und der CNN.
Der DW-TV News it gives for ein half hour almost every hour except on der Week-End* vhen it ist not so much News, und more Rock-Music Shows. DW-TV News comes in t'ree langvitches, der German, der Englitch, und der Spanisch. Vhen you do not unterstand der News Story in der German, vatch it in der Englitch if you unterstand only der Englitch, und in der Spanisch if you unterstand only der Spanisch. (Und if you unterstand only der Spanisch, vhat for are you reading dis for?) It gives also der Features* in alle t'ree langvitsches, dat ist like mini-documentaries for ein half hour. It gives Features about many t'ings, like about Germans living in der Texas und in der Sout' America, und about der Nazi propaganda movies during der Vorld Var Two, und about many other t'ings.
It gives also der many Programms only in der German Langvitch, und die are der Best von der Bunch. But vhat if you don't know der German langvitch so gut? On der Saturday it gives ein Programm to fix das. It is called 'Was?', that means 'What?', und it ist ein German langvitch course. Und not ein boring vun! It has ein Space Alien, und ein UFO, und alle interesting stories to learn der German vit!
Vhen you haf learned der German, you can more better enjoy der gut German Programms, like 'Noah', der treehugger Programm das ist all about der Environment und Ozone und alle like das. 'Schauplatz Deutschland - Germany Live' ist ein Programm that shows all about der different cities in Germany. '100 Grad' ist ein Programm for der young people und has der Rock Videos und der Funny Stuff. 'Achims Hitparade' ist ein Music Show all for der German folk music. Vun time dey had der Song 'Meine Kuh, meine Kuh, die hat rote Gummischuh', das means 'Mine cow, mine cow, die has red rubber shoes'. Der writer from das Song must be ein from der drug doers! Every vun knows that rubber shoes for der cows don't even come in der red color! Just look in der Mills Fleet Farm in der Green Bay!
Der German commercials on der DW-TV are vert looking at. It gives only der Public Service messages. Most are der kind das tells you to use ein you-know-vhat vhen you have you-know-vhat. Der best is der vun vhen der skinny young guy, der looks like ein nerd, goes to der Store to buy der dingerdangermittens* in case he gets lucky on der Date on der Saturday night. He stands in der Check-Out line und in front from him is der Sexy-Girl, und behind from him is der sveet little olt lady. Zo, he hides der dingerdangermittens unter der onions zo das no vun knows vhat he is buying. But der Check-Out voman knows not der Price, so out she yells to ein udder Check-Out voman 'How much cost der dingerdangermittens?' Und der Nerd ist about to die from der embarrassment, vhen der Sexy-Girl says, 'Ja, der dingerdangermittens cost 3 Mark ninety', und der sveet olt lady says 'Nein, der dingerdangermittens are on der Sale for 2 Mark ninety'. Und so der Nerd ist saved from dying from der embarrassment, und even has ein Sexy-Girl smile at him. Der Moral from der Story: even vhen you are a Nerd, if you buy der dingerdangermittens like ein responsible Guy, der Sexy-Girls vill like you, and maybe zome day you are lucky enough you vill need to use vun!
Zo, you zee, if you haf der C-Band Satellite dish, it is ein good idea to check out der free channels like der Deutsche Welle. You are never knowing vhat good stuff you are udderwise missing!

* Features ist der German for features
* dingerdangermitten - dat means der ding, dat ein man puts over his dingerdanger vhen he
gets lucky mit der Sexy-Girl.
