![]() Here is my pride and joy -- hot off of the eBay auction site!! She hasn't even arrived yet!!! I dreamed about having a composition Shirley Temple and was elated when the opportunity came. I purchased the doll from Tonya who has a wonderful site on composition Shirley Temple dolls that is well worth the visit.
This is a Shirley Temple doll from the late 50's. I have a picture of me proudly holding my original doll along with The Shirley Temple Storybook which I had received for Christmas. This is a doll I purchased as an adult because of those fond memories.
McGuffey Ana was a doll I discovered through a small doll shop in Burleson, Texas with the help of my sister-in-law. This doll has a lot of similarities to the Shirley Temple doll. She's a little shorter and as she's from the 30's she composition, not vinyl. Her braids are pinned up on top of her head which really emphasizes the similarity with the Shirley Temple doll. The small doll in front is a Shirley Temple from the 70's.
I have fond memories of a Dydee baby doll from my childhood so I couldn't resist the opportunity to purchase one.
These are vinyl reproductions of the Patsy doll popular in the 30's. Each doll has a change of clothes. They're adorable. I have a very special friend named Patsy and so I had to add Patsy to my collection! My Patsy dolls were purchased from heirloomry@aol.com on eBay.
My porcelain-head Bye-lo baby reproduction was purchased from eBay. Her christening dress and antique flavor make her the perfect accent to lay on my antique bed! Another eBay find, my Bye-lo baby was purchased from judyeid@aol.com.
This is one of my favorites!! It's a ventriloquist's dummy named Willie! Since that happens to be my husband's name . . . and what wife hasn't dreamed of putting words in her husband's mouth . . . it makes a GREAT conversation piece!!
These dolls were purchased from a friend who had obtained them at an estate sale in Kansas. They are old and reflect a Spanish influence.
My first antique reproduction doll was the baby doll purchased from Avon several years ago. A full-body porcelain doll in a gorgeous christening outfit, she was a welcome addition to my dolls.
Miranda, by Jeannie DiMauro is my smallest reproduction doll. She was purchased from First Auction.
