After School Supervision
(9/96) We have no after school playground supervision. Your child should go directly home at the conclusion of the school day. If for example, you are unable to pick up your child on time, please advise them (in detail) alternate ways to deal with this sometimes frightening reality. Tell them to go to the Office for help. If you have an emergency, please notify the Office so we can be on the lookout for your child. Unfortunately, if you call the Office after the dismissal time of your child, we do not have the means to get a message to a child who might be waiting for you on the sidewalk. Prepare your student should such an event occur.
The GUSD's Board of Education recognizing the need for additional child care services approved the implementation of an after-school recreational program (RAP). The program includes homework assistance, arts and crafts, and physical activities. The cost of the program is $17 per week, per child, to be paid in advance.
