Foundation is a group of volunteers committed to raising funds for Monte Vista. Through fund-raisers like the Classroom Challenge, the Silent Auction, and the Parent Donation Drive, Foundation is able to provide our students with enhancements like the Librarian, computer assistant, bus field trips, and special purchases like the TV's, VCR's, and computers for each classroom. Meetings are open to the public, and you are encouraged to participate in activities.
In 1989-90 a Monte Vista Foundation was formed to add yet another dimension to the ways the community and our school work hand-in-hand. The Monte Vista Foundation raises money for the benefit of students. Monthly meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month in the school cafetorium at 7pm. Anyone may attend and participate in the Foundation. If you have any questions about the Foundation, please contact this year's President, Howard Hakes.
