Chris Nuanez has been teaching at Monte Vista since September of 1998. Before teaching at Monte Vista, Mrs. Nuanez taught Kindergarten and 2nd Grade at Jefferson School in Pasadena, she was also a preschool teacher for 12 years. She received her undergraduate degree in Human developement and her teaching credential from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. She decided to become a teacher because she feels as a teacher she impacts children's lives in a positive way thereby investing in the future!
When Mrs. Nuanez has some spare time she enjoys being with her family, working in her garden and working out in the gym. Her favorite children's book is "The Little House" by Virginia Burton. Her favorite foods are Korean and Thai food. She enjoys camping and going to the beach. She has two pets: Phoebie, a Springer Spaniel, and Roper, an orange and white cat.
Mrs. Nuanez met her husband in Hawaii and lived for four years. She would like to visit Ireland and Germany because that is where her family roots are. Her family is very close, they enjoy being together and playing music together. She believes as parents there are no greater gifts we can give to our children than taking time with them and really listening to them. No material possession can replace those two things.
