Essential Question : Can you have peace without justice?

 

In this project you are to develop a definition of what is peace and what is justice. Using your own definition you will compare and contrast Chile with another Latin American country that has had a violent military coup with in the last 30 years. Each paper must include : a brief history of the country, the events leading up to the coup, what happened during the coup, and the coups presence in the modern day country. A description of how peace was obtained and how this peace relates to justice in the country today.

An oral presentation of five to seven minutes will be required. You must have a minimum of 3 audiovisual aids including a title page poster. Posters could contain art work relevant to the time, time lines, or outlines.

 

Your paper must be in 12 point Times New Roman font and be at least 5 pages long. Preliminary and Secondary drafts are required as well as a bibliography.
