Alberto J. Nubla,
son of Edelisa and José Nubla,
died in Mission Hills, CA, on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19, 2005. He was 59
years old. He left behind his wife of 31 years, Dedicacion, and four
children, 30-year-old Abigail, 27-year-old Gladys-Pamela, 25-year-old Sigrid, and
22-year-old Gene Albert. He was diagnosed with cancer in March 2004 and
succumbed to respiratory and subsequent kidney failure soon after beginning
the second round of chemotherapy. We cherish the time he was with us.
During the Catholic funeral mass
on Saturday, June 25, 2005, Abi gave the
introductory eulogy, and Gene gave the closing
eulogy, telling a little bit of his biography and his love for his
children, respectively. In between, Sigrid read the second reading and
Gladys led the offertory song, "On Eagle's Wings."
We miss him very much, as do his many, many friends. He touched countless lives, as
evidenced by the number of people who attended the viewings and funeral in
order to pay their respects to the family and to say good-bye to Pop. We were proud and humbled to see how many friends loved him and grieved for his
loss.
