Arrive at Upper Buttermilk falls and set up for dinner. (Bring: silverware, plates, cups, A Dish to Pass.)
Discuss ritual at great length over dinner. We will be doing a ritual based on "A Midsummer Nights Dream". Where ever possible the words come from Shakespeare. The magic will be a spell for rain (because we are having a drought right now) and one for jobs (because many people in our group are unemployed and that is the harvest we hope to reap).
6pm - set up for ritual
Need: flowers, Resumes (Or wishes), Wine, Corn bread, Honey Comb, Salt
Ritual start
Psychopomp: Zahde
Light Center Candle: If we use the grill it will be lit already. But we can have opening words thus:
Stir up the Athenian youth to merriments;Grounding Meditation:
Awake the pert and nimble spirit of mirth;
Turn melancholy forth to funerals;
The pale companion is not for our pomp.
Soak and Smoke: Enter with a broom
Now it is the time of nightIncense:
That the graves, all gaping wide,
Every one lets forth his sprite,
In the church-way paths to glide.
And those fairies, that do run
By the triple Hecate's team
From the presence of the sun,
Following darkness like a dream,
Now are frolic. Not a mouse
Shall disturb this hallowed house.
I am sent with broom before,
To sweep the dust behind the door.
Through the house give glimmering light,Salt Water:
By the dead and drowsy fire;
Every elf and fairy sprite
Hop as light as bird from brier;
Now, until the break of day,
Through this house each fairy stray.
With this field-dew consecrate,Final blessing:
Every fairy take his gait,
And each several chamber bless,
Through this palace, with sweet peace;
And the owner of it blest
Ever shall in safety rest.
Trip away; make no stay;
You spotted snakes with double tongue,Circle Casting :
Thorny hedgehogs, be not seen;
Newts and blind-worms, do no wrong,
Come not near our fairy Queen.
Never harm Nor spell nor charm
Come our lovely lady nigh.Weaving spiders, come not here;
Hence, you long-legg'd spinners, hence.
Beetles black, approach not near;
Worm nor snail do no offence.
Over hill, over dale,Quarter Calls (special Instructions: Call fairies in all directions.)
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire,
I do wander every where,
Swifter than the moon's sphere;
And I serve the Fairy Queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green.
The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours,
In those freckles live their savours.
God:
Fairy King, attend and mark;Goddess :
Swftly fades the morning lark.
You the globe can compass soon,
Swifter than the wand'ring moon.Come, my lord; and at this site,
Tell us how it comes this night.

She who is no common rate;
Summer doth attend Her state;
Be as thou wast wont to be;Energy raising:(Chantiing, Drumming. Bring drums and noismakers.)
See as thou was wont to see.
Dian's bud o'er Cupid's flower
Hath such force and blessed power.
"Come now; what masques, what dances shall we have,The HPS takes a broom (Everyone take on sprig of Rosemerry) and dips it into the bowl of water. As we dance around the circle to the sound of the drums we dip our sprigs into the watter and sprinkle it all around. Visualizing rain falling.
To wear away this long age of three hours
Between our after-supper and bed-time?
Where is our usual manager of mirth?
What revels are in hand? Is there no play
To ease the anguish of a torturing hour?
What masque? what music? How shall we beguile
The lazy time, if not with some delight?"

Lovers, to bed; 'tis almost fairy time.
I fear we shall out-sleep the coming morn,
As much as we this night have overwatch'd.
This palpable-gross play hath well beguil'd
The heavy gait of night. Sweet friends, to bed.
A fortnight hold we this solemnity,
In nightly revels and new jollity.If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumb'red here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend.
If you pardon, we will mend.
And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call.
So, good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.
