In 1923 he got his first chance at directing when the director of "Always Tell Your Wife" fell ill and Hitch completed the movie. Impressed by his work, studio chiefs gave him his first directing assignment on "Number 13", however, before it could be finished, the studio closed its British operation. company as an assistant director. In reality he did more than this - working as a writer, title designer and art director. The
MUSIC

Did you ever notice how great the music was in the films of Alfred Hitchcock? Do you ever wonder if there is a CD out there that contains any of that music? Well, I'm happy to say, yes! there are CDs out there!

There are several CDs that are of a "Hitchcock Collection" type. The two I have been able to get my hands on are:

Together the CDs include the music from Suspicion, Spellbound, Rebecca, Under Capricorn, Vertigo, Rear Window, Topaz, Frenzy, To Catch a Theif, North by NorthWest, Family Plot and many more!

You can also buy a particular soundtrack. I own the CDs of Vertigo and North by NorthWest. My albums are of good quality and were not very expensive. The most resourceful place to buy CDs of Hitchcock's films on the web is at Intrada Movie Soundtracks. They sell several albums containing movie music. Click here to get linked to Intrada.

Bernard Herrmann was one of Alfred Hitchcock's most famous film score composer. Herrmann composed the scores for Vertigo, North by NorthWest, and more! He also composed the scores to Citizen Kane, Taxi Driver, and of course, many more. Please visit the link below to find out more!
