"A circle is a completion, a beginning, an end. Inside that circle is space. Obvious, you say. Yet we usually think of circles that we can see. We limit the space within, we must have the boundary of the circle. Strange, is it not, as you do not see the boundaries of your earth very often. It is a beautiful circle with much space within.
Suppose you stretched the lines, the beginning and the end. Suppose the lines stretched through an eternity - imagine the space within. We are all in a circle. It may not be shaped just as a circle is, but we are all within a boundary of a beginning and an end.....or so it seems. All around you are circular things. Perhaps through one day you can see how many circles you can find. It might prove illuminating. Of course we have the changing circle of the moon and the sun. Those are visible symbols, so to speak, but there are many others in space.
When we hear the expression 'going in circles', it indicates confusion and no direction. When we turn in a circular manner or perhaps ride a machine which spins in that direction, we can become quite disoriented. All of these things are practical aspects of circles of which you are aware. But think of circles in another way. Think of the circle of day and night. Think of the completion of a unit of measurement of time. What does it all mean? It is limiting to make your circle too small. It can be protective in a way, but also constricted.
There are so many circles that are symbolic. Circle of friendship, circle of love, a 'close-knit circle.' What kind of circles are we creating each day? Do we use the circle as a boundary or as a unit of measurement which can be expanded beyond time? As you see your circles, both in image and imagination, the expansion of that circle can in a small way, help you to expand your thought and your mental processes. The mind was not meant to be contained in the circle of the skeletal part of your head. The mind travels and travels and travels. Perhaps we limit our awareness of our earth abilities by continuing to accept ideas and new thought in a small circle of receptivity. What do you allow in your circle of existence? Who do you allow in? What is it like in your own circle? Do you expand the circle around your body to touch others or is it kept closely by your side?
A circle can expand beyond belief, beyond sight, beyond knowing. Practice expanding the circles in your life a little at a time and see if you can tell the difference, and watch for the circles around you. Enjoy."
