Our page is designed for the student who has had experience with sentence combining before and is interested in polishing those skills even further. In the following exercise, we've combined the two shorter sentences to make one longer sentence. Choose the sentence that is correct, including correct punctuation. (NOTE: Although there is not one correct way to combine the sentences, there are wrong ways to combine the sentences. The correct answer in this exercise is not the only way to combine the sentences; it is simply the only correct way of the three.)
Traveling around the world is exciting. There are many beautiful places to visit.
1. Traveling around the world is exciting, there are many beautiful places to visit.
2. Having so many beautiful places to visit, traveling around the world is always exciting.
3. Traveling around the world is exciting because there are many beautiful places to visit.
