Victor
Sanchez have written two books, of which the first is of direct interest
to the practitioner:
The second book is about Sanchez meetings and pilgrimage with Huichole(?) indians, a very interesting book, but one which does not have too much in common with the castanedian way. It describes practices which are more likely part of indian culture and religion, which cannot be said about what Castaneda teaches. The first book is a very practical one, and Sanchez presents us with several techniques, both truly castanedian, described in Castanedas books, and techniques by his own or others design. It is my oppinion that any practitioner will find alot of good stuff in 'The Teachings of don Carlos', which is a bit like a manual of how to use Castanedas teachings in everyday life. I like very much what he writes about recapitulation and saving energy in general. Sanchez keeps both feet on the ground. However, Victor Sanchez sometimes uses castanedian terminology in a way not originally intended. Sanchez basis is not 'castanedianism', but the religious/mystic practice of the Huicholes. It may well be that what Sanchez writes is more close to the truth, but it is still not always the way things are presented in Castanedas books. There have also been some controvercy about one line of text in this book, where Sanchez writes that "he do know Castaneda". According to Castaneda they have only met at some public seminars. For some reason Castaneda (or Cleargreen?) issued a lawsuit against Sanchez. I don't know the outcome, but as someone said: Castaneda does not have monopoly on the truth. Read Victor Sanchez disclaimer. Victor Sanchez spends
alot of time practicing and giving workshops. His homepage: The
