About me

Fight ogres, set maidens free, slay werewolves, that is to live.

August Strindberg

I live in Sweden with my family. I am in my fifties and my life experience covers many different areas. Call me a searcher, I am trying to find some understanding about our role in life and how we could possibly lead our lives more fully.

My studies include archaeology, anthropology, astrology, Jungian psychology, hermeneutics, mythology, and drama. I have worked as a director and choreographer for more than twenty years with both musicals and drama. About fifteen years ago I became interested in astrology, something I had derided up to that point. The more I studied the subject, the more intrigued I became, especially when I encountered the connection with Jungian psychology. For the last twelve years I have worked with it on an everyday basis.

Viewpoint on Astrology

Astrology can be a much ridiculed subject if reduced to mere entertainment. It can also be a great aid in widening our horizons and open up an overview of one's life, if used sensibly and with care. I believe that we can learn something from astrology, provided we try to use it with common sense, recognizing that it is impossible to know the answers to everything, that is for the Divine, or the Supreme Power or whatever you whish to call it. But if we have a deep need and a longing to reach some understanding about this awesome miracle called Life, then there could be some answers in the natal chart, provided we are prepared to be honest with ourselves in our search.

The horoscope can be a map over all our inherent possibilities. It gives us a chance to discern where the difficulties lie, where the traps are hidden. It might be possible to cut one's way to the path we have to take in order to become what we were intended to - no one less or no one more than ourselves, with all our shortcomings but also with all our talents and fortes. But we have to work for it

The Meaning of Life?

Maybe, just maybe, the meaning of Life lies just in daring to feel that we are alive, here and now, that we step by step can conquer small pieces of ourselves to be added to the whole. And if we also are happy enough to pass on some of our own experience to those who come after us, what more can we ask for? There are no shortcuts and the work is hard. The outcome is not guaranteed, but we can give it an honest try.
