9. Appliqué the vine to the marked design on the background fabric. I like to hold the vine in place with fabric glue. Stitch the inner curve first. When you reach an outside curve slip the needle under the vine to another inner curve. Stitch the outside curve last. If there is some rippling in the vine slash the background fabric under the vine. That should relieve some of the tension.
