- The Voice of the Shuttle
Includes links to resources on archaeology, history, literature, mythology and more. It is frequently up-dated and seems to be a good page to keep in mind when doing humanities research.
- The English Server
I haven't had a chance to thoroughly browse this site yet, but it looks like a vey substantial and comprehensive library. It has a searchable index and is very well organized in general.
- Homer's Iliad
Samuel Butler's translation of Homer's Iliad. The site is organized by book and, although there isn't a pre-installed search engine, it can be successfully searched using your web-browser's search command.
- Homer's Odyssey
Also Samuel Butler's translation. Same as above. (Both are perhaps not the best translations available on the Web, but as far as web-sites go, they are well done and easy to use, so depending on your needs, this a good resource to note.)
- On-line Books
Another good, searchable library, that I have unfortunately not had a chance to explore yet. I am sure I will refer to it on more than one occasion though, once the school year begins.
- Shakespeare
I believe this is one of the better Shakespearean libraries avaible on the Web to-date. It's well organized, easy to search, and features many useful tid-bits relating to Shakespeare and his career, besides the comprehensive collection of his works. There is also a reference to other Internet resources on Shakespeare.
- Virgil's Aeneid
John Dryden's translation of Virgil's Aeneid. Same notes as the Iliad and the Odyssey.
