-Millenium Madness!-

I have heard so many theories on the end of the world and how people seem to think that now is the time. There are people who say God is coming, there are people who say the aliens are coming, there are people who say war is coming, there are people who say that comets and meteors are coming, there are people who say that Y2K is coming....and everywhere you look, there are signs that something is coming......here is my theory about what is happening right now (pre 2000):

Well, where to start? I will address first of all those things I care about that will or might effect me and my household. Lets see here...hmmmmmm....Y2K...yeah, if you don't know what y2k is, let me explain what I understand about it. It is a line or lines of code in computer chips from the way I understand it. These codes are for internal clocks that tell the chip what time it is and the day and year. Now, these chips are in almost all older computers and bigger electronic equipment. No one thought about the clock going from 1999 to 2000 because the clocks run by double digets IE: Day-1-31 month-1-12 year-00-99...so on December 31st. 1999 the clocks will read 31/12/99....when 99 goes back to 00 the chip reads this as 1900 instead of 2000..From what I understand of this, it may cause a logic loop to occure in the chip because the day of the week in 01/01/00 (January 1, 2000) won't match what the day of the week actualy was on 01/01/00 (or January 1, 1900). This is what I understand y2k to be. Now, what does it mean? Well, it depends on who you listen to, but everyone agrees, it is a real problem, and not something that can be ignored because these chips are in almost everything and the effects are really unknown. People have been said to have set thier VCR clocks ahead to January 1st 2000 and had the VCR freeze up and shut down, never to work again. Now imagine that happening to a power plant in your city, that would be bad. Or worse yet, imagine that happening to a nuclear missle silo, that would be worse...all of these places have these chips with defective codes in them. You know it is a problem and a worry when the world at large is scammbling to fix it. Now, I have questioned my surroundings to figure out how this will effect me personaly.

I live in Northern Minnesota, on January 1st in 2000, it will be the dead of winter here. That means sub-zero temps., lots of snow,and I would imagine a very heavy hangover from celebrating the coming of the mellenium. I plan to party!

When I turn on my TV, I don't know if it will work. If the power stays on that is. If I have no power,I also will have no TV, no heat, no computer....where I live, that in itself would be deadly. So if the power doesn't come on, I don't need to write anymore cause there would be no more story to tell, but if I have power, I will end up turning everything on to make sure it works! What ever doesn't work will go into the basement for spare parts. I tried turning my computer to 2000 and it works ok, so that is good. The rest of the stuff I will just have to wait and see with, I can't do anything about it myself. My fate is in the hands of my city and State to solve these problems. I can't realy stock up on water because if I have no power, I won't have water either because it would freeze...I suppose I could stock up on canned good...but whats the point as I can't stay here if the power goes out....so I will just make sure I have a full gas tank and hope for the best..if everything crashes...I will head south to warmer areas of the United States. This is a worst case senario. If everything works fine, or rather most things work fine, then problem solved for me, however, how it effects the rest of my close family will have a great effect too. I do not work, I am a house dad right now, but my wife works for a major airline, will they be ready? If not, then there will be no money to buy food....I will have to find a job. No big deal....so as long as the power stays on...we are ok here.

What do I see happening on January 1st 2000? Nothing bad from where I am sitting. I don't think I will be out in the dark. Good luck where ever you are on 01/01/00. I hope nothing shuts down on you.

The end of the world / Prophets of Doom

History shows that around the turning of any Century there is hysteria. Nostridamus gave a pretty upfront prediction about 1999. But honestly, after reading several books on Nostridamus, his track record is only good because he was so general in his predictions that you could use them for almost any event in history if you wanted to. His 1999 prediction was one of the only predictions he has ever given a clear date to. The rest is pretty obscure...that is why you find so many different meanings in all the books that people have written about him. How ever, I will not totaly dismiss him...that would be foolish. There have been other predictions by seers or psychics over the years too that point to this time as a time of great confusion and termoil. Jean Dixon predicted that the anti-christ would be around this time and even gave the 1999 date, as does Nostridamus. Both of these people were considered really good in thier time. Gordon M Scallion is another that says that this is the time of great geo-thermal activity, Edgar Cayce the same with the prediction of Atlantis also. Danion Brinkly also saw great changes coming. Are all of these prophets right? Something is afoot, that is for sure. Anyone can see it. If you are an Astrologer I would imagine this space debris we have been having for the last few years with the SoeMaker Levy comet, Halebop comet, planet alignments, meteor showers, all of this would have great significance. Comets have always been reguarded as signs in the heaven of great and terrible changes. Then there are people who say they can feel a change, something is coming. They feel something that they compare to speeding up...or a hurried uneasiness that has been bothering them for a few years now. I can feel it, to me it feels like time has excelerated...like water going down a drain. Now the question is, what is it I am feeling? I question this myself. Yes, I do sence something is about to happen, but it does not feel like impending doom...just a drastic change, like my life will be out of my hands soon. Do I think this is from y2k? No, this is something bigger. I am excited about the year 2000, I can't wait to bring in the new year! But it goes beyond that. I have thought in the past that this is many things, a meteor, a war, a UFO invasion even, but now looking back, I realize that I have no idea what it is, only that it is coming. Actualy at this time if I go by what Science is saying, I may very well be feeling the earth dying...I do not know. But I do feel that something has changed and that more changes are coming. Is it millenium madness? I hope so.

Lets look at it a bit............
The Bible has long been concidered a book of prophecy. And many say that they can see the things written in the Bible happening today. The seals are being opened, the wrath of God is about to come apon us all. Even if you do not believe in God there are many things in this book that point to things that are and have been happening for a few years, some say longer. The seas are dying...that was told in the Bible, The Churches are are moraly erroding, that was also predicted in the Bible...There are many things in the Bible that are said to be signs and well, franky, these things are happening. Strange huh? But, the key to understanding the Bible is in the symolism, and everyone interpits this like they do Nostridamus...so it could be used to whip up millenium madness as well. But there seems to be a glimmer in this book of part of our future...but was this all common sence and philosophy or is it divine prophecy? I will leave it up to the Bible thumpers and scolers to figure it out...I don't read the Bible much anymore although I did study Revelations in much detail when I was younger. I can say from my view that there is truth in the Bible, its just getting the truth and seperating it from fiction. But according to the Bible there will be a thing refered to as the beast that will enslave mankind for a while. Think about that...we are all pretty much slaves to something...perhaps the beast or anti-christ is our way of living? Instead of a great war outside, what about a great war inside each person? I persoanly think that this may have some truth to it. What is 666? Hmmm? You will find as like Nostridamus, there is millions of theories on 666, ranging from computers to bar codes to a man coming from Europe, China, Iraq, Iran, The US, Isreal, Russia, Pakastan, India, North Korea, babble..babble...babble...The latest I have heard, it was suggested that this was a computer chip that will be implanted in the skin....Haha...You have to keep this all in perspective though...An anti-christ could come from anywhere and anything....perhaps we are already under it's influence and don't know....Maybe its the internet itself? It could be...Does all of this tie into my feeling of change? As much as I would like to say yes, I can't. I do not see an evil Anti-Christ coming...but I maybe have fallen blind to it as you may have already also. No one knows. And if the Bible is correct, no one will know until it is to late.I can not dismiss the Bible totaly either.

New Age?

There is a movement happening in the United States. As to wheather it is happening anywhere else, I can not say. But there is a new belief that has sufaced recently that has been labled "New Age" Much of the New Age is actualy Old Age, it is a blend of old and new philosophy on man kind and his role in the Universe. However, this movement is broad based and covers many, many religions. This is not a religion in itself, this is a new way of seeing the human race...Love, peace, freedom.....this is the new age message.

Sounds good doesn't it?
Listen carefuly to what people who are considered new age say, I bet you will find that it is nothing new. You will find that You can not lable these people as New Age because they are still believing old religions. The difference is in the attitude twards other religions and other views..You will find that most New Age people are open to all possibilities as long as it does not involve violence and hate. I have tried to get a deffinition of New Age but everywhere you look, someone thinks it is something different. That is because it is not a religion as many try to play it off as, it is a mode of non-violent thought and acceptence of others rights to be what they want to be. Much as America was when it started...the idea of freedom and equality for all. This mode of thought outside the US could get you shot if you were open about it. Scary thought. Am I New Age? Yes, and no. I have been called New Age, but I wouldn't lable myself as one...if you think about it, most people want freedom and love and peace, there is no difference other than some people are very open about it and others are not. Also I have noticed that it seems that psychics in general are being labled new age. This is just not true. I know several psychics and they all believe something different when it gets right down to it. So could someone please tell me what New Age is? Do I have the right deffinition?

Polarizing Planet/Spiritual and physical

I was into science for a long time,
astronomy and geology are two of my favorite sciences. It has been proven that our planet has undergone several polar reversals both magneticly and physicaly over the 4 billion years it supposedly has been around. Now you hear that there may be magnetic fluxes going on and some people speculate that the planet itself may very well tilt on its axis. Well, it has before, so I am sure it will again. And since there have been actual recorded changes in the planets magnetic field, I am led to believe that it will happen again sometime soon...but how soon? And what will it do? Well, if its magnetic, it could wipe out most technology that is computer based because the magnetic fields would switch in the computer chips themselves..as would it do with everything that generates a magnetic field, including you and I. What could that do to you physicaly? *WEG* They don't know...we have little chuncks of magnets in our brains called magnitite...these metals are aligned with the earths magnetic field. Studies on animals have shown that they use magnatite to navigate, and migrate from here to there..and when the field around them is changed....they get confused and do not know where to go. We generaly don't use magnitite like that...infact, no one is sure what will happen if the polarity on the planet is switched...or what effect it could have on us. My theory is that it is already happening and that is why you are seeing so many changes in human conciousness on the individual front. It could also explain why so many whales and dolphins and fish are beaching themselves...another theory I have though is that much of the beaching that is going on is because these aquatic animals and fish are trying to get out of the water because it has become so polluted and clutered with noise. Probibly a combination of both though. So maybe we are subtly going through a polarization of our planets magnetic field. The question is, is there any proof or evidence of this? I am not a scientist, just a deep thinker, so its just a theory.

If it is an actual tilt of the earths
axis...well....that would be worse that magnetic...earthquakes, tidal waves, massive storms, freak winds, a total change in climate everywhere. This would be a change...bad at first...but then after the human race adjusted....it could be beneficial in the fact that it would surely wipe out a large percentage of the earths Human population and there would be more left over for survivors..that sounds bad, but it is a fact...although it would throw us back into the dark ages...could we preserve what we have accomplished so far? the answer in my opinion is yes. And that we would probibly have to come together as the human race in order to survive in the first place. Now, do you think that would happen? I can tell you what I think would happen in such an event. First of all, after the immediate natural disasters would come the human disasters...IE: Nuclear meltdowns, accidental launches of Nulcear weapons, mass pollution from toxic waste and man made waste, fires from gas main breaks etc....It wouldn't be a pretty picture...but then comes a bigger problem...starvation...People who are hungry can do some pretty crazy things, and if its a whole counrty...the only answer is to invade countries that do have stock piles of food....therefore, if the planet does tilt on its axis...war on a grand scale would most likely ensue....the aftermath of such a war or several little wars would drop the population down even more. In my opinion, if the earth does tilt while mankind is still around, it will finish mankind. Something else to concider, if the earth tilts as it has in the past, you would think that the magnetic field would too. Do I think that this will happen within my lifetime or at all? Yes, I know it will happen eventualy but not within my lifetime I hope......but I have left God out of this equasion....I also believe that there will be divine intervention of some sort if this occures. Do I veiw this as a prediction? No, just thoughts about what if.The reality of the earth tilting on its axis is that it has always been a possibility, and just because we know now that it could happen, does not make it likely to happen any time soon. Science is still figuring out the puzzling past of Earth's history, it has happened before several times...they have proved that. So here is another thought of how it could be triggered....if the ice caps melt.

Aliens/Abductions/Visitations and UFOs

I saw a UFO once,
but was it a military aircraft? Was is a shooting star? Was is a meteor? Well, from what I saw, it was none of these as far as I know. I suppose it could of been a military aircraft, I will leave open that possiblity because I do believe that Governments hide secrets. But let me tell you something, if it was a military aircraft I saw, then we have some kick ass technology that the public is not aware of. What I saw in July of 1997 while camping in Northern Minnesota was nothing more than a light in the sky. Big deal right? there are lots of lights in the sky at night! But not like this....it was about 3 in the morning and there was not a cloud to be seen in the sky. My wife and I were sitting in our lawn chairs in the woods watching the stars. At the same time we both saw this white light come in from one dirrection, do an oval shaped loop and took off in the opposite dirrection and also up. It faded from view and the first thing I said was WOW! Did you see that? That was not a sattlelite! The wife saw it too so we both sat there for a few minutes watching to see if we would see it again, nothing happened so she went to bed. The reason I know it wasn't anything that I am aware we have the technology to do was because it was way up high, it had to be out of the atmosphere because it looked like it was reflecting light like a sattlelite does and not even a jet plane going mock 5 could go that fast....I mean it was fast...I have seen jets at night and have seen falling stars and meteor showers...this was none of those, and it gave the appearence of skating so to speak, because when it turned to go the opposite dirrection, it picked up speed...It looked like it was sliding across ice because it was so smooth and fast in its movements. I have seen fottage of the same type of UFO a few times on TV. The wife had to even comment on the simularities. So I know that UFOs are real...but as the name implies..It was an Unidentified Flying Object....I didn't see any aliens..but until the US government steps forward and shows me something that can do what I saw...I will tend to believe that it was extra terrestrial. Now, that doesn't mean that I believe in alien abductions, but I don't disbelieve them either. I had a vision once while meditating of what I concider an alien, but it was just a face and feeling of not wanting to know more. I would of just blown the whole idea off but when Art Bell put pictures of a supposed dead alien on his web site, that is the same face I saw.....so I hold the idea open as a possibility. I know people who say they have been abducted, do I believe them? I choose to believe that they believe they have been abducted. Unless it happens to me, I will always have doubts as to its reality or not. But since I have seen what I concider a UFO, I can not totaly disreguard the possibiliy. There is life out there somewhere, only a fool will tell you otherwise. Does it visit here? Well, if I had the technology to visit other worlds with life...I would do it. Just think about this, we have been sending out radio and tv signals for 40 odd years....thats 40 lightyears out into space. So anything that is living within 40 lightyears of us could be listening to our TV and radio signals...you would learn an awful lot about us that way. I doubt it would be hard to track our signal down either...maybe they have heard and have come to see what we are. Judging from TV and radio of today compared to yesteryear...caution would be a top priority for any space beings...after all, we shoot aliens all the time on TV.

Our changing planet, yes, changing.

There are a lot of questions today about what is happening here on earth. If you look around you, you see the changes. Where I live, the weather has been slowly changing. When it rains, it is now durring thunderstorms. Very rarely have we seen durring summer months a steady rain lately. The last three years here in Minnesota have been odd. Both winters and summers have been wetter. El Nino is to blame for some of it, but last winter we had record water content in the snow here. The year before that we had record snowfalls and record colds. Just a week ago here we had a record low pressure that dropped lower than most Hurricains go and it wreaked havoc while it was going over. The tree in my front yard has been there for 30+ years and the wind snapped it in half. The tree was healthy before. Now, that is just here, what about where you are? The funny thing about all of this changing weather is that it is a natural cycle, so there probibly is nothing to worry about yet...or is there? Changing weather in itself does not mean much. The planets weather patterns always change, we always have wetter than usual and dryer than usual spells...that is normal. What isn't normal (or what we would concider normal) is when you take the changing weather, add it will mass dying off of species, dying oceans, melting ice caps, more frequent volcanic erruptoins, bigger and more frequent earthquakes, and more powerful Hurricains, you begin to see that there is indeed something going on. the question is what is happening? First you hear from Scientists that global warming is happening, then you hear from them later on that the plants are absorbing much of the excess pollution that we are creating so if the plants are soaking up much of the crap that causes the greenhouse effect, why is the weather changing? And although the greenhouse effect in itself would cause wetter warmer environments, it wouldn't cause earthquakes and volcanic erruptions...not right away anyways. Maybe farther down in the greenhouse proccess it could with less pressure on the ice caps and the water going into the oceans could cause more pressure on land masses and intern effect the shifting of tectonic plates. But for now, the greenhouse effect is not the cause as far as I am concerned. There is something else happening. I think personaly, it is something that we haven't figured out yet, some cosmic cycle that effects our earth every so many thousands or hundreds of thousands of years.Like maybe we go through a part of the universe that is full of different types of energy or cosmic dust. Again, I am not a scientist so this is all just theory based on observation of current evens.
