SHA MEADOWS - REFLECTION PUDDLE
Two very tiny, colorful Crenels sit alongside the pool, basking in the warm sunlight that reflects off its gleaming surface. The first one, a tiny pied blue and orange, spies you and quickely introduces himself. "'Ello! I am Z'Frizi, a Crenel! And this little cita is my pondmate-"
The little dark green female unceremoniously bumps him out of the way. "I can introduce myself, Z! Sorry about him, he's just a bit anxious because he feels all protective of me!" You ask tenatively if they are mates and both shake their heads immediately. "Ha! He wishes," the little female quips, then introduces herself. "I am T'Aiba, and I'm newer here, having come over from Sha-Haven not too long ago. Like the pond?" You survey the setting and say that you do indeed like the 'pond,' which is in fact closer to a puddle than anything else....to you.....
As T' admires the view, Z' pushes toward you and begins to rattle on, but you are lost in the lovely ripples of the pond as T' moves into the water and splashes, absorbed in the beauty of it all just as you did. You are so absorbed in the rippling loveliness that you don't even realize that four others have joined the pair! You break out of your trance at the sound of an unfamiliar voice asking you if you heard what it said....and see a little mare, a dark red tri-color, and a light green stallion standing on your shoe!
"Did you hear me, wanderer? Oh well, anyway...I am A'Jae! And this guy here is L'Aeri. He doesn't talk much. We just came over a few days ago and are still settling in..but those other two seem nice enough, even though all they do is snip at each other. But they're nice to me! And L'Aeri, well....he's pretty much by himself a lot, right L'?" She nudges the stallion, who seems to be lost in his own thoughts, and he blinks a few times before nodding. A' smiles hugely and Z' trots back over from where he had been rearranging a little garden of miniature flowering vines, chirruping breifly at A'Jae. They move off together, L'Aeri following in a meandering route behind them, just looking about. It isn't until then that you realize there are indeed two others watching you from the tiny forest of weeds along the base of the boulder!
The pair could be twins! All black and gold and silver, the pair of Crenels look at you with sharp, tiny black eyes, seeming to size you up. The one on the left, a slightly stockier stallion, smiles first and moves toward you, only then followed by his more wary companion. "Greeting! I'm P'Ueri, and this is my twin sister, P'Uella. Well, fraternal twins, anyway, but you can see we're almost nearly identical! Azrielen won us in a contest along with another realmkeeper..." He grins widely and now his sister smiles as well, both of them spinning and showing off their shiny gold and silver coats. You see the differences more clearly now. P'Ueri has a white mane and black tail, and his silver coloration at his back end, while his sister is identical in coloring, but completely opposite in the position of the colors! They do compliment each other very well! You smile at that and the little Crenels look up at you with heads cocked, like you were a little green martian or something!
You giggle at that and the little ones seem to have had enough. The next think you know, the twins are bidding you farewell, smiling cute little smiles and speaking rapidly to one another - twinspeak! - as they makes their way over to the bank of the puddle/pond. With a laugh, the stallion nudges his surprised sister off a little dirt outcropping into the puddle, giggling as she sputters and growls at him. L'Aeri is slowly making his quiet way to the edge of the pond and laying down, seeming to contemplate its surface and lose himself in thought once more. With a look back at you and still giggling, ZP'Ueri throws himself into the shimmering water, swimming to catch up with the quartet of his already-swimming friends.....
After watching the little ones splash for a bit, you decide it is time to move on. You could move around the base of the rock to the flowerbed, or pick yourslef up to head toward the Veritas Reserve Lands or Silishmyst's Meadow...or you could move on the places beyond.....
The land becomes craggy in a giant mountain-wall within the cavern directly to the East, marking the beginning of the Leaper Leys...while behind you the purpled leaves of the Copse hides their mysteries within.....
