The Mystic Stables
THE COPSE - UPPERCOPSE
You shimmy your way up the thick vines past a layer of wound foliage like the layer you clawed through to reach the UnderCopse. You emerge into the Uppercopse in the middle of a large clearing where the leaves are fusia, but now edged in very bright pink that sets off the sun and brightens the entire small meadow. You part a thin veil of purple, leafy vines that has fallen in front of you and peer into a darling clearing where the sun streams in. You walk up to a small group of familiar-looking creatures. By now, you know their kind very well, having met up with four others so far!
You stand and watch the larger adult, the female, as it grazes, not sure if it has even noticed you yet. It is like no other you have seen, with a split-furred tail and gold fur accents. Her blue mane has one long braid in it. After she munches a while longer, the mare stands straight and stretches, moving to greet you after giving you time to take in your surroundings...
"I am Irayusch'Raishox, or Golden Vines. Welcome to the grove that I share with my two charges! I myself am a special Leagus, conjured by natural magicks to enter a contest judged by Myrror, the creator of the original Leagi." She moves over toward her silent companions and you follow.....
She first introduces the adult, a male, who bows deeplyto you, but never makes a sound. This, travelor, is Eybmi, or Dream, a Leagus of the Sasyrn Rainforest, created for Azrielen by the Lady Skysong of Shar in return for decorating the RainForest in her ever-artistic touch! Skysong is the Lady of the grand Sharian capital city and the creatir of a new strain of Leagi." She leaves this silent one to graze and moves on to nudge a third Leagus, a small juvenile, who is basking in a particularly bright sunbeam.....
She continues, introducing the young one along with the story. "The first clutch of this new breed was lain and Lady Az journeyed to Corestone, deep within Shar, to place her name among those wanting to take home one of the first Sharian Leagi - and we have since been very blessed with this little man's presence! Travelor, meet Chiru'Ten'Acwi! He is the newest addition to our little band here, and quite the bunch of nerves." As if on cue, the little one bounces up and begins snuffling in the short grasses all around. But, though the little group seems happy, there is something worng...you can sese it...
The mare steps over to you, sensing your slight upset. "You wonder why they do not talk, don't you, wanderer? Well, it is an all-too-simple story. They homeland has been closed, sealed off to any travelors because of some tragedy. They cannot visit their home and cannot visit others like themselves, and were very traumatized by this sudden occurence! So frightened and emptied, in fact, that it has left them both mute and annerved. The little one especially, for he will never even grow to reach his full height alongside his hatchmates. He has been trapped for always in a warp in life where he will not age until the flux is broken. And only his mind groes now, with no evidence outside of it..." There is a sadness in her voice that is heart-wreching as she moves to confort the restless the one, nuzzling snd licking as a mother would. Moved, you decide that this would be the best time to make an escape.....

You see the path from which you came, the vines leading down throgh the underbrush to the UnderCopse and Mongo'Geri's Lair, and there is another path ahead. It seems just an opening of blackness in the viney wall, a cave of some sort, perhaps. Warm air wafts from it, full of humidity greater than that of this place in which you stand. You can stand it now longer, you must go back to the theif's Lair or onward into the blackness of whatever lies ahead.....
Or perhaps you think better of entering the darkness of the unknown and instead opt to simply leave the misty vined corridors and glades of the Copse behind you.....
Though you can see almost nothing through the thick foliage, you remember the directions from your journey through the Mystic Meadows. Onward to the NorthWest is the verdant and shining green of the many Sha Fields, while going back out the way you came will take you back toward the Equaritha Fields.....
