Hot air hits you as you enter through the brown-yellow curtain and you see a sparse landscape within another giant cavern. The floor under you is sandy, hot plain, cracked from heat. The sparse growth includes one or two shade trees and tumbleweeds. A lare, glass plate that covers the open roof, magnafying the rays of sunlight as they pass through it, making it even hotter. There is a faint rumbling under the floor, sounds like water, and, you realize, it is! Hot water, heated in the volcanic, molten rock far below the surface, is running less than a mile under you feat, sending its heat up throught the rock and creating the hot climate the savanna dwellers are happiest in!

A small child, tucked deep inside what appears to be a winter coat walks up to you. He begins to speak, but his words are so muffled by his jacket that you can't understand a word he says. "Ummph-nuph meruun-phphnnn....." You shake your head, telling him you can't understand, and prepared, he whips out a pad and starts to write. Enjoy your stay and drink lots of water - a simple, yet important message. This is Kenny, from Adopt-A-South Park Kid. We figured he needed somewhere where he'd be safe...and guess what! He hasn't died yet! Amazing. Don't worry about the jacket or him roasting to death, he's refused to take it off. We'r not sure, but we think all he really is is a big pair of eyes and some sneakers! *L*

Meet Savanna, our ferocius lioness cub! She may look mean, but....she doesn't even LOOK mean! She's such a sweatheart, it's unbelievable she's a lion at all....just like a kitty cat!

This here bouncy wipper-snapper is Paintball, named this for obvious reasons! He's a Kangaroo from Melissa's Adoptions. When not bounding over the lionesses and chaseing the lion cubs for sport, hee likes to get caught in low-hanging branches, from which little Kenny ahs to remove him. Basically, this guy lives to be a pain, but we still love him....I think!

This guy would be Flash. It's a rare occasion you can actually see him. Normally he is moving at about Mach 1, so he makes very few appearances travelling below 60 miles per hour! Him and his goo buddy, Mirnos, a pegasus, are the two fastest animals here at New Beginings. Him and Mirnos, who lives in the Mystic Stables, race all the time, within and without these walls. They almost always come in first and second and are currently tied for the number of times each has come in 1st!

Meet Allax, a guardian here in the Savanna. He keeps all the new arrivals in order, making sure they all have a den and a place for themselves. He has a very important job!
