THE CANARY PERCH

A rustling in the small bush right by your side distracts you for a moment. It's just the tiniest sound of cracking twigs, but you have to check it out....who knows what could be hiding in the dense leaves....

You part the deep green branches with their thick greenery, peering into the dark hole. In a tiny nest, ringed with white flowers, you see, not a huge pheonix or a mamoth dragon, but a tiny canary!

Beside the little birdie is a note on a stark white piece of paper, written in what seems to be liquid ink by a bird...thought the letters are clear, little scratches and birdy tracks are all over the edges of the page! It reads:

Hello, traveler. This little one, male canary Tibet, was placed here by Kayman on orders of Azrielen. It is under the protection of all that you see here in these skies. Please do not touch it, as it may hurt the small and fragile canary, possibly even stunting its growth if it will gain any more size!

Suddenly, the little bird starts and beggins to squawk. The raucous coming from the tiny bird is amazing. Covering your ears, you walk quickely away as the other animals, and the canary, start to laugh at you, giggling uncontrollably. Sticking your tongue out at them, you trudge away from the mischievious bird....

Beyond the thin line of bushes, the bowl opens up again into a second section of open fly-space lines with short trees and soft underbrush full of perfect perches for the avian residents. You could move past the Canary's nest and explore further or make your way back to the first open area of the bright sunlit bowl.....
