Epsylon' Weyr

Epsylon here, the mate of white Arakis in Weyr #90 is definatly one of the most unique dragons ever to come to New Beginnings. She and her mate hatched at the same moment of the lobby sands, then moved into their weyrs, gradually falling in love. They've been attenpting to have children, unsuccessfully so far, but they have big dreams! These dreams also include holding high offices in the island of Avalon's Dragon Council - a group of powerful dragons that make most of the descisions that will effect the whole of the dragon population on the island. They are very popular here in the weyr and Epsylon herself is always running all over helping other people out. She is ver sociable and a great speaker. She is also very organized - almost picky! She and Arakis have been together almost ten years and are very much in love! Wish them luck in the upcoming Council nominations!

This little roley-poley is Epsylon when she first hatched. When this type of dragon hatches, they are one big fat ball with a head and pointy tail-like thing on their rear. They can't move about until they grow their limbs out of the skin sac they are surrounded in. You see, when they are born, their wings, arms, and legs are not fully developed, so they remain intact under a thick layer of belly-skin until they are ready to emerge. Thus all the babies are little cute wormies like Epsylon was. A very unusual type of dragon - the first here at New Beginnings for sure!

This is Epsylon as a juvenile dragon, just sprouting her wings. You can see the dragons loose their stripes after the hatchling stage - its a sign of man - or woman - hood for them! She has a perpetually angry look on her face - I guess it's from all the growing pains, because they grow so fast at this stage! You can see she's losing her baby fat and has sprouted all her limbs. This was her most energetic stage and her most unsettling - everything was changing so fast!
