November Internet Run
The "Badlands" Attica, Indiana

Since Dana didn't get to try the rock climbs on Saturday, we
break away from the Jeeps (except for Claude and Chad) for
some rock fun. We don't even get there when Dana winds up
dropping the rear drivehsaft trying to get up a rocky, sandy,
rutted, nasty hill. Good thing he bought TWO u-joints
yesterday. While he and Shane set about changing it out,
Norm and I dub Dana "Captain Munch". "Munched" more parts in
a weekend than I've ever seen anyone go through on a Sammi
before.

After getting it fixed, we headed for some more difficult
climbs. On the way there, I noticed a really gnarly, rocky,
steep "S" uphill, and of course, try it. About 2/3 of the
way up, some of that loose limestone gives under one of my
rear tires, that nearly sends the Sammi endoing backwards,
with FL tire 3-4 feet in the air! Everyone screams to stay
put while pics are shot - time to ham it up! Had to add
some human ballast to the driver's side front. With Norm and
Claude doing the honors, motored up and out easily - WooHoo!

It was getting late, so we headed back to camp, aired up,
exchanged numbers, and went home. I had my fingers crossed
that Dana would make it - but he did. And after driving my
locked Sammi with a built 1600, he's in the market for more
toys. Imagine that?!
