Are you beginning to see why I warned you about the
complexity of the install ahead of time? hehe
Moving right along, the Mazda uses a hydraulic clutch, vs.
the Sammi's cable-operated device, so that needed to be
addressed. I decided to try to adapt the Mazda master
cylinder into the Sammi, to keep things relatively simple.
This necessitated building an extension to the clutch pedal
to attach the pushrod to. The trick was to get everything
lined up correctly and to provide sufficient throw for it to
work properly. This is what I came up with by welding 2"
box tubing, a 3/16" flat plate, and a gusset together:
