Among the ruins at Hampi. Kids in these
parts love to be photographed.
A typical restaurant roof-top view.
The best form of transport in these parts.
Kerala
As we floated slowly down the Kerala backwaters,
we enjoyed views such as this.
Friendly fishermen drawing their nets.
The same friendly fishermen.
Not quite Billingsgate.
One of the legacies of being on the old
world Spice Route, Kerala still uses the old Chinese fishing nets.
They are huge - you get a sense of scale looking at the two figures
perched on them in this picture. They are lowered into the water,
and when lifted, ought to be full of fish. THe backwaters are dotted
with them along their length.
