Dedicated to the Unknown Photographer and French Priests who served Jesuit Institutions in South India , Madras , Trichy , Mangalore and Bangalore .

After preparing a page for Loyola College and Loyolla College Hostel at Madras, now called Chennai, I decided to add a few more picture cards that I came across so that people can enjoy instead of the whiteants getting at it or salting the history of the country in some dark and smelly box to be lost for ever. It was by chance that I came across these photos at Bangalore. and they were dug out from some cellar perhaps after 50 years!!! or maybe more who knows!! The Jesuits were probably involved in these photographs as they pertain mainly on Loyola college and St. Joseph's College, Trichy. The photographs of Loyola College are way back in the past. During all these years, Loyola must have changed, I really wish to visit the place and go around the hallowed grounds where we spent our 'teethiding' days. The other day I did come across some photo postcards from France, and these were probably taken by one of the French Jesuits or the Paris Mission Fathers, as they also covered other parts of Kerela and Madras suburbs. If anyone has some newer pictures of the College or from a different era, please put them up on the Net and send me a mail giving your URL (page address) and I will give a link to the page. I will not ask you to send the pictures to me, as they would be precious memories. Cheers Ronnie Johnson, the Bangalore Walla @ Bangalore!

Thought for the Day:" Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, For you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man's sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, Fon in the manner their fathers did to the prophets. But woe to you who are rich, For you have received your consolation. Woe to you who are full, For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, For you shall mourn and weep. Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did they fathers to the false prophets." Holy Bible: Luke 6:20-26
