Sival Beauty is only skin deep, And those that see it for more simply drift, Waiting for life, While those that reach deep May find something more, Love cutting sharply as a knife. Amaykala grinned as Ckyta finished her song, noting that Shenandoa seemed very put-off. "Okay, girls, this is it." She'd been afraid that Shenandoa would have problems going between, so they'd flown the long way. Ckyta, with her beautiful voice and talented vocals, had sung most of the way. Amaykala realized that the girl was younger than her apparent 16 Turns, probably only 14 or 15. Her face had a worn look to it that made her look older. They alighted in the area in front of the cothold, and Mayeth crooned slightly as Sival stepped outwards, his eyes lighting up much like Ckyta's had whenever she had been Searched. The green lowered her head. Well, then, I suppose that would mean that you remember me, Sival? She asked, and Sival unsurely reached out a hand to stroke the green's eyeridges, smiling up at Amaykala, or so she thought. It was a moment before the greenrider realized that Sival was staring at Shenandoa, who was sitting behind her. The girl seemed appreciative of the attention that was being put on her, and tried to appear not interested. Amaykala could of laughed out loud. Sival was definately one of the more handsome cotholder's sons that she'd seen, and his face was unscarred, strangely enough. "Sival, do you remember Mayeth?" She asked, and he continued to smile, but nodded, as well. "Y'see, we're on Search for another emerald's clutch, Wiayth's, because Mayeth won't let practically any Candidates stand for her own clutch..." The Searchrider was interrupted by her emerald's comment. Sival, I think that you should try and stand at my clutch. Would you like to try? Sival looked up unsurely, now turning his attention away from Shenandoa. "Amaykala, I don't know if I'll Impress. And even if I do, I would just get a Sapphire." Sapphire-riders are very important, Mayeth said. What would happen to all of the blues if no Candidates showed up that were willing to Impress them? We'd have more dragonets betweened than we'd ever want to think of. Sival smiled up at Mayeth, who chuckled, then smiled at Amaykala. "Okay, then, I guess that I'll go. I have to tell my father first, but I'll be back out in a second!" He ran inside, grabbed his pack that held most of his clothing, and told his father. "That's the clutch with the alibi in it," His father said, and Sival smiled. "Father, I'll bet that I'm getting a blue, but I'll try for the alibi, so you can be proud of me!" He exclaimed, then ran out the door, his father still smiling after him. Next |
