The Episodes

Episode 1--Episode 2--Episode 3--Episode 4--Episode 5--Episode 6--Episode 7--Episode 8
The first episode began, as 20 contestants entered the forum. Immediatly, they were asked to choose bedrooms. After everyone had chosen their rooms, Chad suggested an alliance to his roommates. Some agreed to it, but then realized quickly that everyone could see what they were saying, having forgotten that the game was 90% public. This created a stir in the house.

Later in the week, a votes challenge was held, where the winner would get to cast a total of 3 votes at the next vote off instead of the usual one. To win, a contestant had to convince 5 people other than themself to email me. It became a close race between Debi and Danny. However, Danny got 5 in first, and therefore casted extra votes at the next vote off.

In the first elimination, 6 people were eliminated. For the least participation, Morgan, Frank, Renee, Taylor, and Kymberly were all eliminated. In the vote off, a total of 8 votes were cast for Chad, causing him to be eliminated. Some of the voters included his own roommates, having reconsidered his original proposal! In addition, there were a number of votes cast for Vanessa, but it wasn't enough to keep Chad from being evicted. After all the evicted left, only 14 remained in the house!

Episode 2 began fairly suddenly, with Vanessa immediatly questioning some of the other contestants, asking why they had voted for her, specifically Debi. Debi responded, saying that despite the fact that Vanessa had a good number of posts (23), she nobody had really learned too much about her.

That episode, there were two challenges. The first was a simple "Room Replacement Challenge", where the winner would become moderator of Chad's old bedroom, the Four Friends Room. Genevieve won this challenge, by being the first to answer various questions about the city of Boston. The second challenge was the Swim Test, a confusing maze that the players had to navigate through. The first 3 to do this would gain access to "The Island", the only private area on The Forum. The first 3 to do this were Debi, Ryan, and Danny. All of them made their way to the island, where they posted in secret. These posts won't be made public til the end of the game!

In the night, a Dinner Discussion was posted regarding Abortion, as to whether it was a good thing or a bad thing, and whether or not it should be legal. While most of the contestants agreed that it wasn't a good thing, but should be legal, a small spark was ignited in the discussion, when John mentioned that it should be a man's choice too. Contestants Mark and Debi disagreed, saying that the woman would be the one going through with the operation, and taking care of the baby, so it should be her choice.

The vote out was fairly simple. Other than one vote for Amy, Vanessa was voted out close to unanimously, John, Vannessa, Kostya, Amy, and Ryan Q all not voting, gaining 1 or 2 votes (depending on whether or not the voted last week). As for the participation elimination, when adding up penalties and posts, it was found that Amy had a total of negative 19 posts, and therefore was eliminated. Only 12 contestants remained.

Episode 3 commenced, with Vanessa and Amy having just left. Things were fairly quiet throughout the house...but not in the Dining Room. In the Dining Room, a discussion began about Homosexuality, and what were people's opinions on it. Most agreed that it was wrong for people to discriminate against people who were gay, and that they should be left in peace. Jeremy, however, brought up how he felt that he didn't believe gay people were put through a lot of hard times these days, and that he was tired of hearing that they were. This lit some sparks in Sean, as he said, "They have been put through alot of @#%$". Danny, who is homosexual, then mentioned that he was glad to see that the fellow housemates weren't homophobic, and mentioned how hard it is for him to be gay, even not all that openly. Immediatly after that, John mentioned that he didn't respect the homosexual way of life, and didn't like being around it. Nobody seemed to comment on what he said.

Later, 2 challenges took place. The first was the "Room Replacement Challenge", where the contestants would compete for a spot in the now half empty family room. The first person to send in 5 spots along the Freedom Trail in Boston would become moderator of that section of The Forum. In the end, Mitch was the first to do this, winning the spot there. The second was a "Votes Challenge". The winner of this challenge would get to cast 3 votes, as opposed to the regular 1, at the next vote off. 5 contestants signed up for this challenge: Debi, Genevieve, Ryan N, Mark, and John. They were to compete in a posting version of the basketball game "knock out". The last one remaining would win. In the end, it came down to Debi and Ryan N. Debi managed to "knock" Ryan N out, winning the Votes Challenge!

That night, the elimination began. Ryan Q and Kostya each received 3 votes for not voting in the past 3 councils. In addition, Kostya received a vote from Sean. Ryan N received 1 vote from Jeremy, but who received the most votes, a total of 10, was Jeremy. In the posting half of the elimination, Kostya, who hadn't posted since the first episode, ended up getting eliminated with a total of -26 posts. As a result, both of them left, being banned from the Forum. Only 10 contestants remained, and one of them would win!

Episode 4 started, Jeremy and Kostya having left the game. Things were fairly quiet for 2 reasons: A) Ryan N, a more active player, had to go to Sargent's Camp for 4 of the 5 episodes, but the MORE common reason was B)the Columbia Space Shuttle had very recently exploded. There was a sad mood around the board. The day it happened (During Episode 3's very end), there were barely any posts, and if there were, they were in the thread Debi started to commemorate the astronauts who died. A Dinner Discussion took place regarding the incident. All were upset that it happened, and everyone agreed that we should continue to explore space, and more importantly, improve the shuttle.

Soon, 2 Challenges began. The first was the 3rd and FINAL Room Replacement Challenge. The winner of this challenge would gain access to the Luxery Sweet, Jeremy's old room. To win, contestants had to identify certain key figures in Boston's history or culture. These people were John Winthrop, who lead the founding of Boston, William Dawes, who road with Paul Revere from Boston to Lexington, Dr. Joseph Murray, the Boston Native who made the first Liver transplant, Thomas M. Menino, Boston's current mayor, and Manny Ramirez, the Boston Celtic's player with the highest batting average. Debi and Mitch competed hard in this challenge, but Debi pulled through, and won.

Later, the second challenge began: The first posts challenge. The winner of this would received 25 posts, and would hand out 25 other posts to somebody else. To win this, Contestants had to play an online golfing game. Whoever scored the best score in it would win! Many participated, and although there was trouble in getting images as proof, 4 people turned in scores. In the end, Mitch trailed 3 points behind Genevieve, who had a score of 36. A short while after the challenge's conclusion, Mitch sent in a score of 35, but it was too late. Genevieve decided to give the 25 points to her roommate in the Luxery Sweet, Debi. This concluded the posts challenge.

On the final day of the episode, there was a fairly surprising elimination. As expected, Ryan Q was finally eliminated from the game, with a score of -35. However, surprisingly voted out was Kurt, in a 1-1-4-7 vote, Ryan Q, Debi, and John also receiving votes. No reason was given for any of the votes. So both Kurt and Ryan Q were eliminated. Only 8 contestants remain!

Episode 5 began with a BIG twist! A SURPRISE Posts Challenge! All 4 rooms became passworded with the same password. The first room unlocked (with proof by posting) would have an award given out to the roommates of that room: 50 posts added to their post count EACH! Contestants could also buy clues as to what the password was to their rooms, at the cost of 10 posts from the buyers post count. The only clue given to them was that the password was 3 characters. In the end, Debi unlocked the Luxery Sweet first, discovering the password to be 'Bat'. This gave her and Genevieve 50 posts each. However, during the challenge, Debi had bought 1 clue, and Danny had bought 2. Therefore, Debi only earned 40 posts, while Danny lost 20.

Later, another challenge took place: The Swim Test. It was yet reopened, the first two people to finish receiving access to The Island, the only private spot on the forum. The challenge was still a maze, although a slightly different one. In the end, John and Mark were the first two to complete the maze, giving them access to the Island! John and Mark joined Danny, Debi, and Ryan N in the top secret place!

Finally came the 5th elimination. First, Sean was evicted from the forum, having the least number of posts, a total of 46 posts. In the votes half of the elimination, Debi received 1 vote from John. However, it was John who got the majority of the votes, a total of 7, Sean receiving a vote for himself. Because of their posts and votes, Sean and John were evicted from the Forum. Only 6 contestants remain.

Episode 6 began, and there was excitement all over the board. In Genevieve's journal, there certainly was: She was to be getting married in 2 days!!! Things were going OK with the wedding, but as she revealed in her journal, she was nervous and had broken out into hives twice. Mitch also had a lot of action going on in his life: His high school's girls basketball team was having a state wide championship! Not only that, Mitch also was in the final 2 of an online American Idol game, hoping he would win!

The game still rolled on, though. Yet another Posts challenge aroused: a scavenger hunt. Contestants had to find pictures of the following things, all related to Big Brother in some way:

1. Winner of Big Brother 2 (American Edition)
2. The Demolished Big Brother House (Australian Edition)
3. The cover of the famous book which introduced the term, "Big Brother".
4. A picture with both the 1st & 2nd evictees of Big Brother 3 (American Edition)
5. A picture of the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2 (UK Edition)
Mitch was the first to find all the pictures. However, he had trouble figuring out how to post images on the forum, even though instructions had been posted. Debi soon came on, and posted pictures, giving her yet another 50 posts.

Soon, it came time for the 6th elimination. First, in the Posts section of the elimination, Mark had only 78 posts, not enough to move on. In the voting half of the elimination, Debi addressed the point that Genevieve was getting married in less than 48 hours. Because of this, everyone, including Genevieve, voted for her, and so, Genevieve was eliminated unanimously. Mark and Genevieve were immediatly evicted.

The final 4 remained: Danny, Debi, Mitch, and Ryan N. One of them would win. Who?

Episode 7 began, with only 4 contestants left of the original 20: Danny, Debi, Mitch, and Ryan N. A Dinner Discussion began regarding one of the nations most popular, yet controversial, sports: Hunting. While everyone agreed that it was not a good thing, there were various extremes as to how mcuh. At one end, Mitch stated that he goes hunting once a year with his dad. He personally didn't like hunting, but he truly didn't have anything against people who did it. At the other end, Ryan N stated that he was strongly against the idea of taking the life of another creature, and that he thought hunting should be illegal.

Following the discussion, the FINAL challenge of the game was posted. All the contestants had to send in a list of 10 items used for cleaning the house. If somebody else had the same item as you on their list, the item was not counted on both people's lists. If the item was too far off from the catergory, it was not counted on that person's list. Whoever had the most items after this would win the challenge. The winner of the challenge would make a choice as to their reward: Whether or not they wanted an extra vote at the vote off, OR 50 posts.

In the end, Mitch, Debi, and Danny all had a total of 4 items. Therefore, it was a tie. To break the tie, I looked at who had sent in their list first. That was Mitch. Because of this, Mitch was the winner of the final challenge. Mitch decided that he would take 50 posts as his reward. At the end of the episode, it was time for the elimination. First came the votes. Debi, Danny, and Ryan N all voted for Mitch. Mitch voted for Debi, as he had promised earlier that she would never vote for him. Apparently, according to Debi, this was a misunderstanding, as she had said she wouldn't vote for him before Mark and Sean left, not never. In the posts half of the elimination, it came down to the 3 contestants. Debi had a total of 259 posts, mainly from post challenges. Danny had a total of 166 posts. And VERY close to Danny, Ryan N had a total of 157 posts, a 9 post difference. In the end, Mitch and Ryan N were both evicted from the forum.

Only 2 contestants remained: Danny and Debi. One of them would win. One of them would loose, in second place. Who would earn which place?

With the final 2 chosen, it was now time to select a winner. The host put up a poll on the main page (still open for voting if you want) as to who the viewers wanted to win the game. He then tallied all the votes. Only 1 would win: Debi or Danny.

But before the results were revealed, the host gave both Debi and Danny a chance to state their final words in the game:

DEBI'S FINAL WORDS: Well, I can't believe I made it to the final 2!!! I have had an absolute BLAST playing this game! I really didn't think I would make it this far. Mostly because it's my first online game and I didn't know what to do to keep myself in the game. But the other reason was due to my age. I knew right off I was going to be the oldest person playing, and I wasn't sure what I would have in common with the other players. I've met some awesome people playing this game, and hope to keep in touch with you guys. Especially Danny and Ryan. You guys made playing this game very enjoyable and sure kept me on my toes... lol. I guess it can be revealed now that Danny and I "met" the 2nd day of the game, and decided to form an alliance. We considered ourselves "misfits", due to his being gay, and me being older. The following day, we brought Ryan in to our alliance. This was before the Island challenge, which all 3 of us wanted to win. I think that challenge was the best. It gave us a place to talk or leave messages about who we wanted to vote off next. Devon, you've been an awesome host and I would love it if you would let me know when you are hosting another game. Thanks to all of you for making my first online reality game a great experience!

:: Hugs ::

Debi

DANNY'S FINAL WORDS: Well, this game has been real fun and I can't believe I'm in the final 2. Debi is right, we had an alliance since day 2 and Ryan came in our alliance at day 3. We kept a really good secret because no one had any idea about it. We happened to sneak our way into the Final 4 with us three and Mitch. All we needed to do is us 3 vote for Mitch and 2 of the 3 of us would make the final 2. We just decided to base it on posts. Ryan had to go which I was very sad about. I was hoping for like a twist where there would be a Final 3 instead of 2, lol.

Coming into this game I knew I had a disadvantage since I was the only gay one in the house. So, my strategy at the beginning was to get as many posts so I didn't have to worry about being voted out by posts. I was worried around the 2nd and 3rd elimination since I knew people saw me as a threat because I had so many posts. Looks like people loved me too much to vote me out :) . After that I was very confident that I would make the Final 4.

I would just like to express my feelings for my fellow alliance members:

Ryan: You have been a great friend in this game. I didn't know I would meet someone who was alot like me in age and in hobbies. I loved our conversations and I'm glad we had made an alliance at the beginning. and I'm still sorry about yelling at you about the sterotypes! lol, forgive me.

Debi: You have been like a mother to me this whole game. I loved the conversations we had about me and my "problem". I'm taking all those points into consideration and hopefully I will be able to confront people soon. You played a great game. This final vote will be good either way because I will be happy if you win and I know you'd be happy if I win.

Peace out and hopefully we will all keep in touch! :D

To the host: You hosted an awesome game and I'm glad I applied. I met awesome people and I would do this again in a heart beat! Keep up thw good work!

Well, I guess that's it...

And so came the time to reveal the results...only 10 people had voted, but counting the poll would make it 11. There would be no tie, so the poll was just an ordinary vote.

The first vote was cast by Kurt, voting for DANNY

The second vote was cast by Mitch, voting for DEBI

The third vote was cast by Ryan Q, voting for DEBI

The fourth vote was cast by THE POLL, at a 12-6 vote, voting for DEBI

The fifth vote was cast by Chad, voting for DANNY

The sixth vote was cast by Ryan N, voting for DANNY

The seventh vote was cast by Jeremy, voting for DEBI

The eigth vote was cast by John, voting for DANNY

The ninth vote was cast by Sean, voting for DEBI

The tenth vote was cast by Mark, voting for DANNY

It was a 5-5 tie...

The final vote cast by Taylor,

Voting for...

DANNY

Danny had won THE FORUM: Boston!

Soon, the cast was unbanned from the forum. Many participants left their congratulations to Danny and Debi for making it so far. Mitch also mentioned later, though, that he and others had the idea that there was an alliance, or at least Debi and Danny. Ryan N he hadn't suspected. Still, there wasn't much else he could do, now that the game was over, and Danny had won.

Meanwhile, the Island was FINALLY opened up! Inside, it was found most of the island was simply filled up with posts about American Idol and Survivor. However, there WAS evidence of the alliance, in the "RANT" thread that the host had posted at the beginning of the game. Inside contained various disses towards Vanessa, John, and Jeremy. Only John commented, saying, "I love being loved here :-) " with a shocked smiley.

In general, everybody seemed on good terms...but it was Danny, and only Danny, who had won THE FORUM: Boston!
