"Antonius Genius" was his name in Latin for the Catholic Church, but his real middle name was "Gene" and he hated "Genius" on official documents. Very staunch Republican. Used to "eat like a bird" but then when everyone was away at school and work order a cache of sweets to be delivered from the corner grocery to keep in his bedroom closet for snacking. Loved baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds. Closest to his sister Leona - she died while he was either overseas or in the sanatorium.
