Tom Welling
Model/Actor

Faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...It's a bird, it's a plane it's Super Tom Welling Man!  (the superman theme song plays in the back ground)  OK, so maybe he's not Superman yet officially, but Tom Welling is the superstud superhero Clark Kent on the WB's
Smallville.

Tom plays freshman man of steel, a boy still discovering his powers and literally gets weak in the knees everytime he sees Lana Lang.  His parents, Johnathan and Martha Kent, found him at the age of three in the cornfields just after they got in a car crash, the time of the meteor shower in Smallville.  Pete and Chloe are Clark's friends who help him discover odd happenings while remaining ignorant of his true identity.

Tom was born on April 24, 1977.  He went to high school Okemos High School at Okemos, Michigan where he graduated at 1995.  Born and raised in New York, Tom is fairly new to the acting world. He did some modeling for the Louisa Modeling agency He performed in a few high school theater productions before recently moving to Los Angeles to pursue a proffessional career.  With his good looks and attitude, Tom has the potential of becoming the next big teen star.

His first big break was landing six epsodes in
Judging Amy last season playing "Rob the karate instructor" opposite Amy Brenneman in a romantic role that drew raves.  He landed the role of Kent after a nationwide search for a fresh face to play the part of young Clark Kent.

Tom currently resides in Los Angeles.  In his spare time, he enjoys reading, playing basketball with friends, and running.  He also admitted to the WB that he currently has a girlfriend.  Don't worry Tom fans.  Just remember: "It's not like they're married," (Clark Kent after asking Lana out on a "date".  Episode:
