Beauséjour Astronomy Club
Club d'Astronomie Beauséjour
Welcome to the Beauséjour Astronomy Club Web Site

Our club is based in Moncton, New-Brunswick, Canada. For our meetings and observations, we often use the facilities and the observatory at the campus of the Université de Moncton. Other sites where we do our observations are : Indian Mountain Road in Irishtown, N.-B. and Pré-d'en-Haut, N.-B. Although these two sites are approximately 15 - 25 minutes from the campus, they offer beautiful night skies because of there distance from the Moncton skyline.

We meet on a monthly basis and we alternate meetings and observations each month. Presently, there are 30 active members in our club. Our first meeting was held on the 25th of November 1998. The club consist of local amateur astronomers from the Moncton area, professors from Université de Moncton Physics dept., students and adults alike who all share the passion for experiencing the night sky.

Early in 1999, the club officially joined the NBANB. As the club's president Daniel Leblanc wrote in a article for the NBANB newsletter Pleiades : "We fully expect that our club will grow to provide a valued service to our community through education and experiencing the night sky while having fun..."
