A Neuwirth-while Evening

LATER this spring, PBS will air its tape of a recent magical evening at the White House when "Chicago" star Bebe Neuwirth took a night off from Broadway to perform for the First Family and selected guests.

Bebe did her show-stopper, "I Can't Do It Alone," then teamed with Karen Ziemba for another number from the hot show. (Ziemba replaces Marilu Henner in the "Chicago" cast later this month.) The White House gala was billed as "An Evening of American Dance" and is part of Hillary Clinton's program to celebrate the new millennium.
