July
30, 2005- The Black Knights (3-1) have once again made it back to
the BFL Semi Finals for the 3rd Straight season after defeating
the Bulldogs (2-2) in a fantastic wild card game.
The
Bulldogs started the game off with 2 defensive stops and a 14-2
lead. But Black Knights were too good to hold down.
John
battled back with some defensive stops of his own to take a 13 point
lead going into half time.
With
the rain pooring down, and Kenny cleary not showing the arm skills
as he did in his last outing, Howie Gogo stepped in to quarterback
the 2nd half. And Howie did a great job, just throwing touchdowns,
and more touchdowns.
The
two teams lit up the score board and exchanged touchdowns throughout.
However,
in the end, John was able to bat down an onside throw attempt and
knock out the Bulldogs from the Playoffs.
Notes:
-John is going to play in his 5th Semi final game, where he is 3-1.
Last year, he lost to the Sparrows in the semis.
-The Black Knights will meet the Falcons in the much anticipated
rematch. Winner goes to BFL Bowl VIII.
