The Tempi Concertati Chamber Ensemble was founded in 1997 and named after the title of a composition by the leading Bulgarian composer Konstantin Iliev. After his debut at the Thracia Summer Music Festival the ensemble, led by Vesselin Baychev, has been active in concerts all over the country, including performances shown by the Bulgarian National Television, a concert performance of Mozart’s Requiem, gala-concerts in Sofia and Rousse dedicated to Konstantin Iliev, participation in the Sofia Music Weeks 1998. In 1999 Tempi Concertati participated also in the Konstantin Iliev Music Festival - Vidin and one year later - in 2000 the ensemble recorded its first CD for the recording company MMO under the baton of Nayden Todorov. |
