and Nick Carter as the Backstreet Boys. But they are more than that *no pun
intended, though it amused me after I made it*. They are people that have
lives that consist of more than just singing for us. Backstreet fanfiction,
written by anyone, gives the reader a chance to see beyond the singing, and
the fame, and the screaming fans. Even though fanfiction is just that: fiction,
it still gives you a way to see AJ, Brian, Howie, Kevin, and Nick beyond their
Backstreet Boys surfaces.
A little while back I was sent the link to a fanfiction site. My friend Colleen,
who sent the link to me, was obsessed with fanfics at the time, but I never
payed any attention to them, assuming they were stupid and extremely cheesy.
Well, eventually I got around to going to that site and I read one of the
fanfics... and I absolutely loved it! I got obsessed and addicted to fanfics
completely because of that site! Yes, there are still some bad fanfics out there,
but that site has GOOD ones! Today, it remains my favorite fanfiction site,
while I have found good stories on some other sites.
After thinking about it and really mulling it over, I decided to start to write my
own fanfic, called Broken Promises. I got some very positive responses about
it so far from people in mailing lists, so I came up with some ideas for OTHER
fanfics. Once I got some more of those ideas written down, I figured... why
not start a site!
That's how this site started and why you are here. So basically, if you like
this page, thank Colleen. None of my fanfics are finished as of yet, but I am
making my way through them, so please bear with me, and I hope you enjoy!
Other than my stories, there are links to other good stories and sites as well
as some little things I might put on here.
