Abhishek
When an idol is offered Jal or milk, it is called Abhishek. In Shiv Jee's case, normally the milk is offered by pouring it on the Shiv Ling. In other cases where idols are wearing clothes, Jal is sprinkled only with the thumb and third finger only. Giving the idol a bath is different than Abhishek. Abhishek is under the Poojaa process after giving the idol bath and putting on clothes.

In the whole life of Vishshweshwar Bhagvaan, it was the first time that He stood like a criminal before His mother.

Aashram of Nar-Naaraayan
Why Naarad Jee went to the Aashram of Nar-Naaraayan? Giving Shaap or Var decreases the result of Tapasyaa, so maybe Naarad Jee thought after giving this Shaap, I should restore my Tap OR maybe He wanted to tell His action to Nar-Naaraayan.

Fed Krishn
Once Brahmaa Jee kidnapped Gwaal Baal and calves, then Bhagvaan Himself appeared in the form of all Gwaal Baal and calves till they were returned and consequently till then He was fed by those Gwaal Baal's mothers and He sucked milk from calves' mother cows. Read the whole story...

Gopee
Many Gopee were Bhagvaan's Siddhi. But there were many Gopee who were Dev girls, Shruti, Tapaswee, Rishi and other devotees. Their stories can be found in various Puraan. Shruti Roop Gopee who always describe Paramaatmaa as "Neti, Neti" (not like this, not like that), but still cannot get Him, then they worship Bhagvaan with Gopee and then take the form of Gopee and get Him as their lovers. Main Shruti are Udgeetaa, Sugeetaa, Kalgeetaa, Kalkanthikaa, Vipanchee etc. Siddh, Rishi who got attracted to Raam, but could not get married Him because of His one-wife Vrat, got the Var of being Gopee, so they were born as Gopee in Brij. Besides, Gopee from Mithilaa, Koshal, Ayodhyaa; Pulind Gopee, Ramaa vaikunth, Shwet Dweep Gopee and Jaalandharee Gopee etc were several groups of Gopee who did a very difficult Tapasyaa and then became Gopee. Many of such Rishi are described in Paataal Khand of Padm Puraan. They did a lot of tapasyaa and after several Kalp they were born as Gopee.

Mathuraa
Mathuraa is in UP. It is one of the many holy places in India. Krishn was born in Mathuraa, but He was taken to Nand Baabaa's house at Gokul, across the Yamunaa River, for His protection from Kans. He passed His childhood there. It is said that Mathuraa Nagaree was inhabited by a Maduraa named Raakshas. Later it was called as Mathuraa. This is the place (in Madhuban on the bank of Yamunaa) where child Dhruv did Tapasyaa and got his Parampad.

Own Feelings
Here I remember Tulasee Daas Jee 's one couplet from his Raam Charit Maanas : "Jaakee rahee bhaavanaa jaisee, Prabhu moorat tin dekhee taisee". Means people saw Bhagvaan in the same Roop whatever feelings they had for Him, for example if there was a mother, she saw Him as her child, if some woman wanted Him like her husband then she saw Him in that way, Yogee saw Him as Jagadeeshwar, Kans saw Him as his Kaal (Mrityu, or death) etc. These feelings are called Ras in Hindi Literature. There 10 Ras. So all feelings can be divided under those 10 Ras. For more explanation see below under the heading "Virah Geet"

Pootanaa
Pootanaa was the Dhaay of Kans. Dhaay is that woman (other than the real mother) who breastfeeds to another woman's child. So Pootanaa breastfed her milk to Kans. Kans asked her to go to Brij and kill the children below 10 days old by feeding her milk. So she was doing that one day Krishn's turn came. She had already killed many children in Brij, but at the time of Krishn she herself was killed. And she was given the Paramdhaam as Bhagvaan's mother. Why?

Pootanaa was the daughter of Daityaraaj Bali in her previous life. At that time her name was Ratnmaalaa. Seeing Bhagavaan Vaaman in her father's Yagyashaalaa, she wished, "Oh, Only if I could have such a child and breastfeed him." Vaaman Bhagavaan heard the wish of His devotee's daughter and fulfilled it in this life. The same girl was born as Pootanaa in Dwaapar Yug and her wish was fulfilled by breastfeeding Shree Krishn. But when she saw His Viraat Roop, then she got frightened and thought, "If my son had been like this then I would have given him poison." So Vaaman Bhagvaan heard her this wish also and fulfilled it, that she applied poison on her breast and went to feed Krishn.

Sarp as a Gift
Garud's mother Vinataa and Sarp's mother Kadru had enmity with one another. So remembering mother's enmity, Garud Jee used to eat any Sarp whatever he saw. At this all Sarp went to Brahmaa Jee. Then Brahmaa Jee made this a rule that, the Sarp community will offer one Sarp to Garud every Amaavasyaa. And this Sarp will come from a separate family each time.

Trinaavart
There was a king named Sahastraaksh in Paandu Desh. Once he was enjoying with his queens on the bank of Narmadaa River. Durvaasaa Rishi was passing from that side, but he did not greet him, so he got angry and gave him Shaap - "Go,  and become Raakshas."  When he asked for forgiveness then Durvaasaa Jee said - "You will get Mukti from Raakshas Gati when you will touch Shree Krishn. The same Raajaa Sahastraaksh was born as Trinaavart and got Mukti from his Daitya Yoni with the touch of Shree Krishn."

Tulasee
Wild Basil - a holy plant in India. Normally it is found in every household. Men and women all alike worship it in the morning and evening. Its leaves are an essential part of Bhagvaan's Prasaad. There is a wonderful story connected to it: There was a Raakshas named Jalandhar.  He had a Satee wife. Her name was Vrindaa. She was a great Satee and a great devotee of Vishnu. With the backup of his wife's being Satee that Raakshas was doing very bad Karm and was not able to be killed. Because of her being Satee Vishnu also could not do anything of him. Then He thought of breaking her Satee Dharm. And so He did. When she came to know about this she gave Him Shaap, "You have tricked a Satee, go and become a stone."  Then Vishnu turned into Shaaligraam. But Vishnu gave her Vardaan, "You go and appear as Tulasee in Vrindaavan, near Mathuraa and grow there in abundance. Because of you it will be called Vrindaa Van. I will come in Dwaapar Yug and then you will see me there. From now on I will not eat anything without you, thus you will always be with me."

Two Finger Game
There are some good explanations for the rope being short only by two fingers. (1) Bhagvaan thought when I give my Darshan then it is only through Sat Gun, so only one Gun should see me, one should not see me with all three Gun. Since human beings have all Gun and they cannot be only Sato Gun, so they cannot control Him with three Gun. (2) He thought where there are names and forms, then there is a Bandhan (relationship, or connection, or bondage). I have no name, no form, then how can I be tied so rope fell short by two fingers. (3) Yashodaa used short, long, alone, together, all kinds of ropes to tie Him but all fell short, because Bhagvaan do not discriminate in short, long, small, big. To show these two concepts ropes fell short by two finger short.

Vaanar Raaj Dwivid
He is the same Dwivid who was with Raajaa Sugreev in the times of Raam and Lakshman. He fought with Raavan's army from Raam's side.
[page 10/p12]

In this Yug he was killed by Balaraam Jee when he went to Teerth Yaatraa and came to Brij. He killed him because he troubled women there whom Balaraam was playing with

Virah Geet
There are nine Ras in Hindi literature:
1.  Veebhats Ras - which generates the feelings of hatred
2.  Vaatsalya Ras - which generates motherly feelings
3. Shringaar Ras - which generates the feelings of sexual love. In this area there
are two sides: when hero and heroine are meeting; and when any of them is alone
and remembering him or her. This loneliness description when expressed in
poetry is called Virah (=separation) Geet (=song) means a song which is sung
when hero and heroine are separated
4.  Veer Ras - which generates or describes the feelings of bravery and fighting
5.  Bhakti Ras - which generates the feelings of devotion to God
6.  Raudra Ras - which generates the feelings of anger
7.  Adbhut Ras - which describes wonderful things
8.  Haasya Ras - which makes people laugh
9.  Bhayaanak Ras - which describes horrid things

Went Away
Yaksh thought till He is Sa-Gun and is tied by a rope, we can see Him, otherwise it is not possible even to imagine Him in His Nir-Gun Roop, so let us go so that we can see Him in His Sa-Gun Roop.
