Kaam
Dev
Kaam Dev is the Ansh Avataar of Vaasudev. When Satee Jee burned herself in Daksh
Yagya, then Shiv Jee became very sad and went for Tap. He did Tap for many
thousands years. In the meantime Satee was reborn as Paaravtee as Himaalaya and
Maianaa's daughter. Once Naarad Jee came there and told Himaalaya that your
daughter will be married to a Saadhu with a frightening look. All
characteristics whatever he told were available only in Shiv Jee, so He suggested
that Paarvatee should do Tap to get Shiv as her husband. So She did. On
the other side there was a terrible Raakshas was there who was not been killed
by anybody. Brahmaa Jee said that he will be killed by Shankar's son. And
Shankar's son will be when Shankar will get married. And He was sitting in Tap
so how could Shiv have a son?
So Indra sent Kaamdev with his army (Vasant Ritu, flowers, cool sweet smelled
air etc) to break his Tap. When Kaam Dev reached there and he spread his Maayaa,
Shiv Jee woke up, and as he woke up his third eye was opened, and as his third
eye opened Kaam Dev got burned.
The
whole Universe got worried with this. His wife Rati came there weeping bitterly.
Then Shiv Jee said "Don't worry, when, in Dwaapar Yug, Bhagavaan Krishn will
be born, your husband will be born as his son. Then you will meet him. So Kaamdev
was born to Krishn and Rukminee as their son Pradyumn.

Laakshaa
Grih
Dhritraashtr's eldest son Duryodhan was always in search of such an opportunity
that anyhow Paandav should be killed so that he should become the king of
Hastinaapur. Paandav's father died in their childhood, but on the suggestion of
Bheeshm, he allowed them to stay in the palace with their mother Kuntee. But his
own sons and Paandav never had a conducive environment. When all grew up as fine
young princes then it was suggested to Dhritraashtra that he should declare
Yudhishthir as Crown Prince, since he was the eldest son of Paandu who was the
official king of Hastinaapur.
Paandu
was declared as king because Dhritraashtra was blind. As he sat on the throne he
went for extending his kingdom and won many kings. On returning, he was given
some spare time for himself. There he killed a Braahman by mistake, so he had to
do Praayashchit for Brahm Hatyaa (killing a Braahman). So he again went to
forest to do Praayshchit. There he had these five sons and died according to the
Shaap of the wife of Braahman. So when he went to do Praayashchit, the throne
could not be empty, then Dhritraashtra was appointed as temporary king, but
since Paandu died there and Paandav were still very young, he continued to rule,
but on behalf of the future king, i.e. Yudhishthir. His own sons also grew with
Paandav. As he ruled for long time he started thinking that this was his kingdom
and his son Duryodhan should be appointed as Crown Prince. But people and other
courtiers wanted Yudhishthir to be the Crown Prince.
So
once there was a fair in Baarnaavat in which the king was supposed to go, then
Vidur Jee suggested that he should send Yudhishthir so that people can see their
would-be king. But Duryodhan did not want this. So he planned for a Laakshaa
Grih ( a house made of inflammable materials) with his Maamaa Shakuni, who also
lived there to take care of his nephews, in which he wanted to burn all Paandav
with Kuntee. Luckily Yudhishthir himself asked the permission to take them all,
so Duryodhan got very happy. All plans were made, but Vidur Jee knew this secret
and he told them to be careful in symbolic language. Besides, he helped them to
escape also from there. Thus they escaped but this rumor was spread that Paandav
have burned in Laakshaa Grih fire with Kuntee.

Maya
Daanav
May
Daanav is the architect of Daanav. He inhabited golden Lankaa for Raavan. In
Vishwakarmaa's Indraprasth, May Daanav built a wonderful Raaj Sabhaa to show his
gratitude to Arjun in exchange of saving his life from the fire of Khaandav Van.
When Duryodhan came to visit Indraprasth, he went to see this Raaj Sabhaa also.
And in this Raaj Sabhaa he saw water in place of dry floor so he lifted his
clothes while crossing it and saw dry floor in place of water so he wetted his
clothes in that water; then he saw door in place of wall and got hit there while
going out and saw wall in place of door so he couldn't conceive the idea that he
could go out through that wall. And everybody laughed at him. He married his
daughter Mandodaree to Raavan.

Pind
Daan
In Hindu Dharm after the death of somebody his son and descendents give Pind
Daan through Braahman. It is believed that this goes to the ancestors.
Gayaa Jee (in Bihar) is very famous and appropriate for this.
