My name is Trixie Lee Short McGuire, wife of Biff Murray McGuire (December 18, 1956 of Salt Lake City, Utah) son of Donna Rae Bailey McGuire and Larry Dean McGuire (October 11, 1933 born Salt Lake City, Utah) son of Rosa Belle Fuelling and Claude Sheldon McGuire (March 2, 1886 - born somewhere Tennessee - possibly Obion, County - died 1959, Salt Lake City (Lived Park City, Utah) to Mary Edmunson and Lou McGuire (born 1856 (?)),

That is where our story ends: Genealogy without proof - is mythology!

We have found in the 1880 US Census - J L McGuire (born Illinois) living with the J H Edmundson(sp) family listed as son in law - machinist - Mary McGuire is his wife - also a J L Macguire was married to a Mary Edmundson on December 28, 1879 in Obion County, Tennessee.

According to Claude's oldest living daughter - Mother apparently died in childbirth and he (Claude) was raised by maternal grandparents - (father Lou - worked for the railroad) Claude ran away from home about 14 or 15 years of age. (Go figure - teenagers never change - any help, etc - would be greatly appreciated!)

My great grandfathers family was from Missouri, but My granfather ran away when his father in law tried to have him sent to prison. He moved to Alabama and married Sybil Varnum. He had 6 children and worked as a photographer in Birmingham. After a tornado destroyed their house they moved to Florida and lived in Fort Myers until my grandfather died in 2001.
