                                       Lucky Ali Live in Karachi  (Exclusive)

       7th July 2001 - Karachi, A Soulful singer Lucky Ali who was invited by the Rafi Peer and the Peerzada's for a live concert in Karachi. The concert which aimed tight  security and half of the army, military and commandos present at the Hockey stadium went extremely smooth, not forgetting the fact that it began 2 hours behind the schedule but like a caliber of star Lucky is , it is although acceptable. The stage, have been erected at a cost of well over Rs. 1,000,000, this 200 foot construct contained a 48 by 48 foot stage and is the largest in Pakistan to date. Designed by Faizaan Peerzada the stage was illuminated by 400 lights of different colours lining the mammoth trusses that were originally made for the Sufi Festival in Lahore. When the show began famous MTV host Uddam Singh shared some jokes with Ali Salman , sang a rap song and led the way for Hadiqa Kiyani who performed some of his popular songs including Dupatta Mera Malmal kaa . And then came the man every one had been waiting for - LUCKY ALI himself, who finally took the stage at 11.30 p.m. His salaam was met with much anticipation and excitement. he opened the show with a song in praise of GOD ALMIGHTY " Tum Hi Se " , leading on to his other hit numbers such as "Dekha Hai Aise Bhi", "Jab Hum Chotay Hotay Thay" and "Nahi Rakhta Dil Main", which he said he wrote for his son. But the songs that got the crowd of KARACHI on their feet were " O Sanam", "Na Tum Jano Na Hum", " Tere Mere Sath" and "Ek Pal Ka Jeena". The evening was further enhanced by light drizzling, a full moon and appetizing snacks. Nothing can beat live music and when the singer is as great as Lucky Ali you can't ask for more.
