      Launching Party

29 August 2001, Music-video director Bobby Khan announced his
latest film Kya Mein Abb Bhi Tumse Pyar Karta Hun. The film stars
singer Lucky Ali and actress Raveena Tandon. Even though his first
film as a director Dum Dum Diga Diga got shelved, Bobby Khan is all
set to start work on his latest film. He is the man who has made
some of the most popular music videos and is confident that this
time around his film will see the light of day. Bobby said, "My
producer is backing me. Though Lucky is not a hero, he does not
sell, he has no market, but the script was such that when my
producer heard it, he freaked over it. He had a lot of opinions that
he gave me--to take A, B and C hero in the market that could get me
better prices or sale ability. But I stuck to Lucky bhai." Lucky has
also signed two other films including Sanjay Gupta's multi-starrer
             Kaante
and another film produced by Pooja Bhatt. Even though Lucky Ali has
acted in films like Trikaal and Yehi Hai Zindagi in the past, he
believes that this is a fresh start for him. He said, "When I worked
with Shyam babu it was not as though I had a career happening on the
other side. I didn't think it necessary for me to stick around. So I
went and did other things. And in the course of music, I am back
here and I am back to my friends and we have all grown up and now we
are going to do this film together." Playing the romantic lead
opposite Lucky Ali is actress Raveena Tandon who seems to be
experimenting in her choice of roles after winning the National
award. She said, "It was really funny actually because Lucky and I
have been family friends. Lucky's seen me since when I was about 13 and he's been very close
to my brother --they are very, very good friends. So as usually I
have grown up in front of him. We were all in giggles when we were
doing the photo shoot and were telling each other, 'Can you imagine
we are working together?' So it was quite nice actually." An unusual
cast and an unusual title. But Bobby Khan's debut film seems like a
combination of a whole lot of unconventional things. The man who has
already established himself as a successful music video director is
hoping that unlike his previous film which got shelved mid way, this
film will see a positive outcome..
