Sur

Pooja Bhatt issued a trade notice last week that she is severing all ties with Pooja Bhatt Productions, which she had started with her uncle Mukesh Bhatt a year ago and has floated a company called Fish Eye Productions Pvt. Ltd. And what do you know! She has announced her first project as well. The maiden venture is to be titled 'Sur' and will star singer Lucky Ali under the direction of the Bhatt protégé, Tanuja Chandra. Well, it's the story of a young music teacher, played by Lucky Ali who feels threatened by the brilliance of his girl-student, despite the student's is devotion to him. He suppresses her creative freedom until she is forced to leave him. When he realizes what he's done, he tries to persuade her to return, but by then she has lost her hearing.
Quiz Tanuja on casting Lucky as a lead player, she promptly says," I love his kind of music. He has so much rhythm and music in his body. He seemed like the perfect guy for the character. He was rather intimidated that we offered him the role first, but later accepted when he heard the script." Lucky, though will not compose the music for the film. Instead, it's going to be M.M.Kreem, who had earlier provided the music for Mahesh Bhatt's 'Criminal.'
Few know that Lucky has dabbled in acting before. He has done a TV serial for a private channel a few years ago, just before he made it big with his singing career. And we must say, he was not bad. Rather likeable, in fact. The film rolls in May with Lucky's dates in place. Tanuja is admittedly looking forward to the project. "Pooja understands a great deal about production. At the same time, she won't pull back any punches saying, "Add this for commercial value" or something like that. Plus, she has a great sense of design. I am sure this is going to be one of the best-looking films we'll have." The heroine or the girl to play the student is still under consideration And Tanuja has not made up her mind about who it will be.
