Lucky Ali goes to T-Series

14th July 2001, Lucky Ali, who has recently signed four films as an actor, is doing a prestigious musical project with T-Series. However, he clarifies that this will not be a pop album, but a film- based project. "Since I am on contract with Sony Music, I can’t do an album with any other company. I’m still working out details with T-Series, but most probably, I’ll be composing for one of their films," he says. Lucky is also composing two songs for Sanjay Gupta’s Kaante, and directing music of Bobby Khan’s Kya Main Ab Bhi Tumse Pyaar Karta Hoon. He’s acting in both these films.Of late, Lucky’s acting has been getting more media attention. After Aditya Bhattacharya approached him for Avatar, he signed Kaante, Kiya Main Ab Bhi Tumse Pyaar Karta Hoon and Pooja Bhatt’s Sur. "I play the protagonist in all films, and each role is different and challenging. A 10-day schedule has been fixed for Bobby Khan’s film, whereas Kaante will be shot after August 20. Avatar will be shot after that. So I don’t know which will be released first," he says. Isn’t he nervous facing the camera? Replies Lucky: "Not at all. I’ll be normal. It’s just like doing a video." Asked whether the foray into acting and music direction will make him reduce singing. Lucky says: "I don’t want to cut down on singing, because I love it. I’m discussing possible ideas with Sony on what kind of album to do next," he adds.
